So since I've introduced myself, I have some more to say. What's wrong with being nerdy, is that like being smart, and intelligence and knowledge is apparently frowned upon, and what's the deal with hating your parents? They are the ones who made you and cared for you. And what proof do you have about god creating everything? Is that just an assumption made because people are too lazy to even research about the universe? And also did you watch at least some clips of the shows I was talking about? Because I would love to hear your opinions on the shows.

I'm not used to follow advice from random people in the internet. I just do what the Bible says.

Well, getting better grades because I'm going to the place I can afford, and a place where I can have friends and learn with others. Can I get homeschooled for becoming a mechanic? That's what I want to be. Is that against god? We don't have money for all this fancy homeschooling, and i don't even think my mom would let me get homeschooled either, because public is much cheaper, and like I've already stated, I have access to friends and help. And modern society favors public grades. I want proper training and learning from professionals too, and not my mom, who would be overly stressed to teach me and also deal with my dad's horse racing business and all the other things id rather not spill into the internet

There are many facets to religion and many religious people (such as us) are most sincere in their faith. Lying is deliberate, we are dead serious even if you fail to believe us. Furthermore, religion has (even false religions, such as Catholicism) many other functions (even if fabricated lies were among them). It is a guide to different life stages, birth, coming-of-age, marriage, and obviously death. It is a tool to maintain social order. It is also something that the more interested minds can immerse in. Thus, your claim attacks not religion but a self-made caricature, hence it is a straw man argument, void of content. This sentence is also an ad hominem, as the Truth™ value of religion has nothing to do with the mindset of its proponents. Even the "weak minded" can be right. Truth™ in the world of logic does not depend on the person who states something.

hi all

first i must say thank you all for this board so i can keep my son away from nasty stuff the devil puts on this earth

as grateful as i am i am here to tell you all to ban team fortress 2 (abbreviated as TF2) for the following reasons

i discovered about it this weekend when my 15 year old son charlie brought home his friend and they were playing on his friend's laptop a game where it's nothing but killing, bad words, god bashing, anti-american propaganda, and worst of all HOMOSEXUALITY

first off this is their artwork they use to advertise to the MASSES



as you can see, they all are posed to look threatening (i guess that's what boys like these days)

there is also blantent homosexuality (when the doctor heals his patients they all say things like "i love this doctor" or "get behind me doctor!")

they made a character that looks like a soldier and he talks about god's world being his ("this is my world, you are not welcome in my world!") when i heard this i was MORBIDLY SHOCKED and appalled and ashamed of my son and he knew it

i was wondering why my son was getting into fights and after i saw this i banned him from ever seeing his friends

if you see your child playing this, tell them to uninstall it and watch him do it!!!

First of all. The soldier just loves America. What's wrong with that? Secondly, the voice lines that play when someone heals you are COMPLETELY APPROPRIATE! When a medic is healing you, they should be behind you because you are getting healed so you can take damage in place of your medic. And, many people like it when they are getting healed because you die less. This game may have some swearing in it, but you can just get a mod to cut those 5 voice lines out. (There are over 700 voice lines in the game) also, TF2 has an aspect of trading that has taught me how to be good with money. Also, does it say in the bible that followers of Jesus should not fight in battles? Look at what Moses went through. Hell, even the Israelites went through that. In conclusion, TF2 is a good game and the game mentioned with shooting portals in walls WAS MADE BY VALVE.

And, many people like it when they are getting healed because you die less.

Real people die once. Then they go to heaven or hell.

TF2 has an aspect of trading that has taught me how to be good with money.

Being good with money means not spending it on imaginary crap. Buy a real machine gun, get expert training on how to use it. Pay dues to a civilian militia organization. Buy gas and drive your car hundreds of miles to stand up to politically-correct, fanatical statue-removers. That is money well spent.

Also, does it say in the bible that followers of Jesus should not fight in battles? Look at what Moses went through.

Moses did not battle Pharaoh's army. He fled them. Then God kindly drowned them all. Puh-LEEZ, read a Bible.

I would like to mention the fact that Gabe Newell, the owner of Valve Corp, and indirect maker of TF2, is an atheist, so he would have no idea of God, and the fact of the Soldier (A Character from TF2). is the fact he was brought up in a Godless community, and has no idea of Jesus, or Christ. And the medic, he may seem Gay, but in the lore of the game, he has a wife, and is a committed Christian.
