...Well, friend, either the Bible is correct, or it is not.

Either God is capable of preserving His Word, as He promised, or He is not.

If He is not, then He's not much of a God.

If He is capable, but chose to let it become corrupted and let us follow an incorrect Word, leading to executions of witches, homosexuals, adulterers, non-Christians, etc., then He's malevolent and a demon, not a god.

The only other alternative is that the Bible is, indeed, correct.

I see this kind of thing far to often, My faith in human kind unfortunately seems to be plummeting annoyingly quickly these days. Christianity is being morphed horribly by minds who have such a tunneled view and it is sad to see what is such an interesting and beautiful belief system turned into a weapon of hatred to any one who does not share the same ideals.

Your beliefs are yours and you may keep them. However, be open to the world around you and I promise you that you will benefit from different cultures and ideologies that will open your mind to truth and peace.

God created everyone - straight or gay, white or black - these are not choices that people make, it is the way God made them. I fail to understand how someone with as firm a belief as you cannot understand that God sees everyone as equal. It is one of the founding principles of Christianity. To blame people for who they are, who God made them, saddens me as it is obvious that you do not see Christianity as a way towards peace and compassion but towards hatred and prejudice.

All of you should be ashamed to call yourselves Christians of any sort. What you all are doing is completely upholding everything the Bible stands for.

Where's loving thy neighbour? Where is the treating of another as you would want someone to treat you? There are good morals to be taught by the Bible, but filthy liberals like me take it entirely out of context. All of you are True Christians(tm) for whom I should show respect.

I understand God said something about hatred towards gays and killing them, but are you really that radical to actually say you'll act it out? You say that soldiers are Jesus loving men who love their country. You're right, and you're wrong at the same time. At the end of the day, soldiers are killing people. On both ends. It is in the ten commandments "Thou shall not kill". I understand that it's for the protection of your country (it's an American forum, I'm not American), but war in it's entirety is unnecessary. Except when God commands it of course. Glory!

If we all got along as we should, and we all loved each other like we should and followed the good aspects of the Bible, rather than the bad as every last one of you do, then the world would be a much better place. But it's the idiotic, ignorant, extremist Christians such as yourself with no opening for anything that give Christianity a bad name. You should all be proud of yourselves for following the entire thing.

To every "Christian" that insulted another user for what they said, ask yourself this: Would Jesus have done the same thing? Sure! Would Jesus spew hatred to another human being? He does in the Bible. In fact, He sends some to Hell.
