I don't know anything about Hallo or Portal or whatever (something I'm proud of as a good Christian) so I won't bother to rebuke anyone for being dumb enough to play it. I'd rather make a more general statement regarding all video games and how they make children lazy and keep them stupid. I won't let any of my boys play any form of fake computer nonsense. If they want entertainment in the form of a "game" then they can get outside and play in God's good earth like the Lord intended.

I'm not blind to the truth, I know there are a lot of terrible parents out there that idly sit by and let their kids sit in front of a computer killing aliens and monsters all day. Day after day, all the while getting stupider. What really gets me is the fact that there are people over the age of twelve who play these games. Seriously, if that isn't proof of a stinted mind I don't know what is. It must be nice for their parents when their children finally fulfill their full potential as retarded.

Excuse me? I have played video games all of my life, and i am not 'retarded' what so ever, and it does not make my parents bad for letting me do so. Portal stimulates your mind, it makes you think constantly, how do I get to the finish line?

As far as making children lazy or stupid, that statement is ridiculous. It is quite the contrary for me. I have gone on to pursue my love for video games and made a career out of it, I design video games for a living. And i am certain I have more degrees then you ever will.

As far as everyone else, you are so brainwashed it is hard to even read the sick things you post, I DO BELIEVE IN GOD, and I do not understand how all of you are pretending you know gods will, and you know what god wants us to do. GOD DOES NOT WANT US TO PLAY GAMES... Uhh... what? Where does it say ever in the bible that playing video games is bad for us? Or that is is a sin? Just because some game developer has programed the game to Lie to us and what not, it does not mean it makes us want to lie, and for the image on the first post, as stated so many times before, it was fan created, and not made by the creators of Portal.

I have played Portal and Portal 2 start to finish, and I have found 0 mention of anything related to sex. And I have been a steam member for over 6 years, and I have NEVER ONCE had any charges made against my credit card that did not belong! Please take a moment to think about what you guys are saying.

Just because you guys do not agree with something, it does NOT mean god agrees with you. I believe god loves me for who I am, and I will not believe otherwise. If i chose to do something, like play Portal, god will not send me to hell for such things. Games are not even real, they are a form of mind stimulation and entertainment, have you never watched a movie, or television?

I am sooooooo glad I found this forum and this thread. This is the story of my life, my trials and tribulations. First let me please share my story.

I was a gamer. I played video games they were my god. Games like portal helped me to the edge of the greatest cliff facing directly at hell and I was pushing myself off. I was so close I could feel the corns on my feet getting warmer and warmer with every step I took in every day. Satan had his hands on me and was dragging me around by the cock like the dirty little slut that I was. Portal and all its heathen evilness was Satans tool while he tempted me with the evils the world has to offer, like a pedophile dangling an anal fisting fetish magazine in front of 13 year old boy who just had his first wet dream.

After playing Portal almost non stop, 22 hours a day for 4 months straight trying to master the advanced portal tecniques, like using multiple portals to gain extra jumping distance or even looping the portals to put myself in a mega death fall. I died way too many times for any one person to handle, when we all know that the lord our Savior, the man, the myth, the legend, Jesus himself is the only person to ever have risen from the dead. I had corrupted my brain, poisened my body and sold my soul to valve (through steam) for $39.99.

It got so bad that I was worshipping those evil little companion cubes. I should have been bowing down at the feet of the life sized baby Jesus statue I have in my living room. It got so bad for me that I was using an apperature to shove companion cubes up my anus for fun. Those companion cubes are much like jerk chicken, they hurt going in and coming out. I even went so far as to buy myself a small pet monket and made small little puzzle traps for him so that I could try and recreate myself as GLaDOS. I loved that monkey and those companion cubes.

Then there is the small matter of cake. I made all kinds of cake to prove to myself that cake is not a lie, these are some of the better cakes I have made: Bridal Butter Pecan, Devil’s Food Delight, Fancy French Vanilla, Golden Buttery Yellow, Lovely Lemon, Half & Half (1/2 choc. & 1/2 vanilla), Ooh La-La Orange, Pistachio Paradise, Red Velvet Dream, Strawberry Sensation, Wedding White, German Chocolate, Coconut Crush, Manlove Cum Cake Banana Bonanza, and Butter Recipe Fudge. I loved to pack them full of the fudge.

Anyway, after I was lead astray by the evils of the portals I found god, the lord my savior, the master of the universe, the king of all kings who makes real kings look like princes anf court jesters in the court of the lord the one true god of gods. Once I found jesus I stopped the evils in my life, pulled the companion cubes out of my ass, and let my monkey go free.

And now I am saved.

There are many Christian video game companies, like Shine Studios (makers of Saints of Virtue), Rothware Christian Software (they made Qoheleth, a game where you ran around collecting the books of the Bible in order), and Wisdom Tree made Super 3D Noah's Ark, a remake of Doom that replaced killing Nazis with guns with making animals sleepy with fruit.
I choose not to answer the question about where I got my concept of God. That's as personal (in my view) as asking your Social Security number.
