True Christian™ Pop Music - PET SHOP BOYS

Recently, I was introduced by a fellow pastor the musical stylings of a George Michael who had a few songs in the 1980s which are loaded with Christian messages. I was really turned onto his music and have become a huge George Michael fan.

Well, this same pastor told me that if I liked George Michael I might like the Pet Shop Boys. Who? I know, I asked the same question. Apparently they were a Christian pop group in the 1980s. But, after hearing some of their music I was just blown away.

This song is called "It's a sin". What really excited me about this is, unlike most Christian songs which deal with praise and redemption, this one goes to the heart of the matter and talks about sin, shame, and begging for forgiveness. The Pet Shop Boys really convey Christian values in this song. It tells you that you are a worthless sinner if you don't have Jesus and you're nothing but scum if you go through life doing nothing but sin.

Next, the Pet Shop Boys extoll the virtues of capitalism with "Let's Make Lots of Money". This isn't no ode to Obamunism or socialism, this glorifies entrepreneurship and the profit motive. This is pure 100% Jesus-approved right here. Not only are they Christian, they are also Republican. Praise Jesus for the Pet Shop Boys!

Continuing this theme, the Pet Shop Boys piss all over the Soviets and tell them to "Go West". With this song, communism is shown to be a sham and that unbridled, unrestricted free market capitalism is what makes people happy. Just look at all the imagery. Very deep.

The Pet Shop Boys, like George Michael, stand for everything good. They sing about the virtues of Christianity, Heterosexuality, Capitalism, America, Republicanism, and good ol' common sense.

    Private Message to Rev. Jim:

I really don't know much about the Pet Shop Boys and can't comment on them. But you should know that George Michael is a queer.

Thank you Rev. Osborne! I was looking for good Christian music and this really is something different. Best I have found before this is The Land family, but they are Pentecostal.

I like this Pets hop boys very much.

Just watch out for wannabe clones with similar rhythms but a very different message. This stuff led many to "experiment" with Biblically condemned activities and without wanting to post any details about what Max (from an earlier song) did or what Aqua (Swedish libertines) might advocate I think this "Fred" chapter gives a good idea what might be involved in the shallow lifestyle choices lamented here. Lamented, but not deplored indeed it seems to me as if these trollops enjoyed the whole disgusting quagmire of pop ethics.

The communist lobby may be expected to mix all this stuff wherever they can, even with those pet boys and I post this link for parental reference only. How many sins are celebrated here?
