It may well be that we speak the same language but it is no shame to admit that you have problems with your education. I also understand if you've only been exposed to Klingon or Quenya literature lately and forgotten about American; isn't that what you gamers do?

Still, some guidelines:
The American indefinite article has two forms: "a" and "an". The "an" alternative is used in front of words that begin with a vowel (y is a wovel in some languages but in American it takes the "a"). You have some examples here that need the "an", "an ad" (not "add", that is a verb), "an act", "an infraction", etc. Interestingly, sometimes an (sic!) initial "n" does funny things to a word, as illiterate peasants can understand it as if it belonged to the article and not the word per se. A nice example is "an orange". It was introduced into English from one of the Papish languages as "a norange" (derives from the Sanskrit narang (नारंग) via the Papish La naranja). It is also possible that this mishap took place in the Papish dialect of French (medieval une norenge -> une orenge). What does this entail? It means that if you are not careful you can drop the initial letter and cause confusion. Please, be more careful in the future. The same goes for your relationship with Jesus.
