You are quite correct, Rachel -- no-one is a bigger deceiver than the Radcliffe boy. I believe this was an attempt by his PR people to portray him as a typical randy teenager with an eye for the ladies -- however, there are overt clues regarding his homosexuality. "Flutes" and "fags" are mentioned, for example. Subtler homo signifiers include Daniel being coddled by his mummy, and sniffing around ladies his mother's age. An angry midget makes a couple of appearances, and Daniel throws a much-pawed condom on Diana Rigg's head. Couldn't be any gayer if he tried!
