As we all know, Pastor Phelps and the folks at Westboro Baptist Church usually do fine work, but have shown a troubling tendency to liberalism.
Well, it's gone too far. When visiting this site for another thread, my jaw dropped. ROCK AND ROLL VIDEOS?!?!!
I believe they host the videos themselves, so I'm unable to embed any here, but that's likely a good thing (thank You, Jesus!) as the jungle rhythms would likely get the toes tapping on those who aren't far enough along the Narrow Path of Salvation. I don't care how they've improved the words, it's still of the devil and therefore sinful! Could they not get those angelic children to sing hymns instead?

Wow! I can't believe it either! I thought the website must have gotten hacked, but that video is on all of their sister sites as well.

The only thing I can think of is that the good Reverend Phelps is letting pride get in the way -- trying to get God's Word out, but doing it his own way. Even great men like Moses and King David fell into that trap, and God punished them harshly for it.

I pray Brother Phelps sees the error of his ways and quickly pulls that demonic inspired melody off of his website. The words indeed do seems to have some value tho, and perhaps he could salvage those and make them into a poem.

I do not know much about secular music, but is that not the tune of that horrid "We are the World" song, where all of those sinning rock and rollers got together to try to thwart God's plan of ridding His world of a large number of unsaved Africans?

If I am not mistaken, God unleashed a famine on a large group of heathens who had angered Him, and a bunch of busy body musicians tried to intervene on behalf of those that God was in the process of righteously punishing.

I remember being disgusted by the pride of those unsaved drug addicts and sodomites as they defied the will of our Lord all those years ago. I almost cannot believe that the once Godly Fred Phelps could have fallen so far into the clutches of liberalism.

I will have a hard time sleeping tonight. God has lost a once powerful ally in His fight against the unsaved!

Prof. Bessemer, even though the '80s were my glory days and when I was on top of the world, I can't help but remember that awful stain on an otherwise perfect decade called "We Are the World". That was one of the most anti-Christian ensembles ever put together. Lionel Richie, that fornicating member of the Commodores, Michael Jackson, uh, really don't have to say anything there. Hell, who else was there? Dionne Warwick? That psychic pagan witch? What a train wreck of music that was.

How dare they try to intervene with God's plans! Okay, God wanted to trim the world population by smiting a large portion of the unsaved populace. Live with it. I was probably one of the few people at the time to pray for more starvation, since I thought it might sway people to fear the awesome power of God and turn their lives over to Jesus Christ.

Some of our older members might remember when I made headlines about that back in '85 when I publicly proclaimed on my televangelist show that "We are the World" was the work of the Devil and trying to stop God's natural plans of punishing sinners. Of course the liberal media skewered it and made me look like the bad guy. The worse part was donations fell off that year. But I regained them the next year in '86 when I did my public barbecue of the homoeroticism of Top Gun and how it defamed our glorious military by insinuating it's just a bunch of horny fags trying to get hot locker room action.

Ah yes. I was still trapped in the homosexual deathstyle choice I had made back then. 1986, that brings back some powerful, and of course painful, memories Reverend. I think this scene here may be the gayest one in the film. I recall it watching over and over again in those days when I wallowed in all manner of disgusting sodomite sin. I actually wore out a VHS tape of the movie by it watching too many times.

Now with Youtube, I could watch it as many times in a row as it took, I mean if I wanted to watch it at all, which I certainly do not.

That scene is completely unnecessary to Top Gun's narrative. It is nothing but an "eye candy" scene for heterosexual women and homosexual men to drool over. Even the cinematography is questionable with the slow shots of Val Kilmer, bare and shirtless, sweat dripping off his tan, manly body, highlighting the muscle ridges and the sheer sexiness....no doubt Top Gun's producers were doing everything they could to pander to fags.

And did you notice the name of the song that plays during the volleyball scene? "Playing with the Boys".

How disturbing. Notice the video called "Read It" (parody of Beat It). The younger members of the church are doing some MJ dance moves. No decent heterosexual man could pull off that kind of choreography.

I'm beginning to suspect Westboro is a front of secret homosexuals trying to make Christians look bad. I hear a lot of their older female members are single, college-educated professionals. Hmm...

I have to say that the Westboro Baptist Church has certainly left the path it was on once. I used to admire that church for its Godly stand against homosexuality and its signs showing some of the possible positions these Rump Rangers take.

But the slide into compromise with the world and moral turpitude has gone too far. I guess it's time to give them over to Satan for the destruction of their flesh.
