I have always thought of this verse as a verse to explain what God means with sexual bonds. Sexual sin is a sin like no other, you not only need forgiveness from it, but also release from the other person. A person's soul bonds with another person while performing the sexual act, whether it be a prostitute or any women "selling" herself, for money or just plain lust!

Until God has released you from the sexual sin with someone, you will have a tie/bond with that person...

All Homers are bad and are the same as spitting in the eye of our Lord. Elimination of just one Homer is nearly a guaranteed passage into Heaven.

My opinion? The issue was brought up... with a valid, and quite honest, response. Should have been the end of it. Your comment did not come across that you were having a "wee bit of fun", your comment came across nasty... cruel.... Perhaps you commented before reading the responses. I can understand that, I've done it myself. When you were called on it, though, instead of getting defensive (and insulting us again) you could have said... "you know, you're right. I meant it to be funny, but it bombed... sorry."

. Giving people the information they need to learn and grow. I'd like people to learn in an atmosphere where they can express their viewpoints, civilly, without fear of being attacked. I know, doesn't happen all the time, but I believe it's something to strive for. Not everyone, when they get online, knows that all caps conveys "yelling." Please, let's try to be a bit more understanding and take the opportunity to teach rather than denigrate.

I assume this is some sort of invitation for a conservative male fake christian reunion, since Homer-sexual sex seems to be a requirement for membership in the conservative male member admiration club. I believe yet another addition to the club is the subject of another thread.
