We aren't looking to get rich or happy. We are looking to obey God.

Exactly, you're looking to obey god, so why does it bother you that some people don't. How is two people of the same sex getting married affect you? Can you not sleep at night, can you not look at yourself in the mirror, eat? Really, why do people care so much as to what others do with THEIR lives. It's theirs, so why care what they do with it. You're christian people, you're supposedly full of love, so why not find it in your hearts to just leave the people alone, let them live the way they want to live and stop making their lives harder than it is.
