Ex-Gay program worked too well ??

One of the locals here, Gerald, had noticeably started to display homo-ism tendencies in his mid twenties. This was especially serious, because when the problem started, he was married and had already fathered 2 children.

The first major sign everyone picked up on was him announcing he wanted to quit his job maintaining industrial power equipment and to go into college to study theater. Then we noticed his fascination with taking his kids to soccer and rugby games, and finally, his wife found his stash of men's underwear catalogs!

Well, all the family and friends mobilized, we had an intervention, and soon had him in a Christian Gay Rehab facility. When he had been in long enough, he earned some weekend passes, and we all made sure he stayed busy watching manly American football, and we also took him hunting for rabbits and deer. While he was being treated, we went through his house top to bottom and removed every trace of anything 'artsy fartsy', and effeminate, and added things like gun cabinets, a fireplace, and some animal skins (bear and elk).

He seemed to do very well after his release, but we still maintained a watchful vigil.

Part of that was we made sure he attended our local weekly Ex-Gay Repairative Workshops. They are held at a nearby home of a happily married couple, Heather and Frank.

Unbeknown to us, Heather and him started having an affair!

Frank is devastated, all the kids affected have had their lives turned upside down, and Geralds wife is screaming having a homo husband would have been better than breaking up the 2 families!

This is very shocking to all of us. Heather won't listen to anyone, Frank is sullen and confused, and Gerald's wife is now questioning her faith.

We did save Gerald from the homo-ism, but having things turn out the way they did is just gut wrenching.

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix all of this??
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

Brother Reb, what does the Good Book tell us we must do with adulterers?

I believe there was a TV show about the final result of a similar situation.

    Bible boring? Nonsense!
Try Bible in a Year with Brother V, or join Shirlee and the kids as they discuss Real Bible Stories!

OMG! Did he ever said he was homo? being interested in arts doesn't make you homosexual...
Now you know bad things happens when you have that kind of prejudice...

and your question... I don't think you can do anything now, unless his wife forgives him, but... if she has dignity she won't.

Well now there's a Christian comment, yep we're supposed to forgive people for spewing filth all over our boards, but not some poor Christian man that went too far after ex-gay deprogramming. Women are supposed to beat their men into submission and men are supposed to take it.

It really get's tiring after a while.

Reb, perhaps Heather and Geralds wife should have a good long talk with the Ladies of Landover. I'm sure the women there may be able to talk some sense into them.
PROOF: Atheists are too stupid to understand the Bible!

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

          Well,

things are still an unHoly mess with Gerald and Heather,

          however,

there is an interesting development. We have a generous donor, willing to provide a large house, and some funding (maybe around 10%) for the first year for a new Christian outreach program.

Hope for Fallen Couples is anticipated to be a new outreach for Christian couples (and those earnestly wishing to be), and it will be based on the (otherwise) successful Ex-Gay program. Couples (man/wife, of course) with marriages in immediate danger of dissolution/divorce, can now be intensively treated, 24-7, in a friendly, caring, home like, Christian Marriage Retreat setting. Prayer vigils, fasting, Bible drills, 100% Christ based counseling, and strict isolation from 'interlopers', will provide a safe zone to restore the damaged marriages. We anticipate this program will focus on the most threatened marriages of all, those threatened by adultery, end stage drug abuse, and homo-ism. It appears with the financial help of our donor, monthly rates for this program will be under $30,000 per month, and we anticpate we will be able to care for up to 2 affected children per couple too.

So, while Gerald and Heather may be ultimately responsible for destroying 2 marriages, this program, founded on the wreckage of their marriages, may yet save thousands of other marriages.

Perhaps not the conclusion we might have wanted at the onset, but in the long term, this is a definite win for Team Jesus!
