You're almost right, but most Swiss people who believe in global warming do live in sinful Stockholm, which would be obliterated by the hypercane anyways. While hurricane Katrina killed approx 1% of the population, a hypercane would kill at least 90% in its 190 miles wide trail of obliteration. No building with the possible exception of underground bunkers would survive.
