I was having coffee at the Senior Citizen's Center yesterday when a woman I've know for many years, and who I've suspected is a closet liberal, asked why I don't give up my campaign against homers. The whole country has changed it's mind, she said.
I try to be patient with such people, but she pushed it too far.
"Sure," I said, "I could just accept this sodomy. But, what would I say to Jesus when he returns. Jesus will ask me, 'Why are all these sodomites here. What have you done to stamp them out?'"
"The thing is," I told her, "I'm the Mayor. Jesus knows I have powers that I can use for Him. If I don't use them, Jesus will punish me."
My hope is this nut case woman is the only one in Freehold that thinks I should stop harassing homers.
