And it's not that I don't enjoy the stories and the morals that the stories in the Bible contain, it's just that it was written such a long time ago. Some of the rules in it don't really pertain to modern life.

Oh, I take the Bible with a grain of salt, to be honest.
I think some of the main principles are pretty good (thou shalt not kill, love thy neighbour, covet not thy neighbour's wife, etc.).

But.. I don't really believe that God got some old guy and his wife to build a gigantic boat and get 2 of every animal on it so he could flood the entire world.
