I cautiously bid you a lukewarm welcome, Carlos. We have had considerable trouble in the past from Portugeese people. We have discovered that you are mostly unsaved and under the sway of the Pope of the Romans.

I am uncertain as to the exact location of Portugal, but from the names of the inhabitants, I assume it is somewhere in or near to Mexico. I have only one question for you at this time: Since you are a Mexican policeman, please explain why you all wear such enormous hats.

Hello Alvin,

We use them because of a pagan and blasphemous tradition.

Back in the day those so-called "scientists" believed that sun burns would cause us cancer in the skin, so the police general chief acted immediately and forced everyone to use those gigantic hats.

Not only they are ridiculous but they're need is based on a stupid concept. The sun is a gift from god that circles the Earth, it wouldn't give cancer to a true believer.

I've started several protests and several petitions to revoke this law but no one will ever follow reason.

In Soalheira, which is a town secluded from the big urban centers, there aren't so many people so I don't use the hat that often, thank God.

I'm hoping that through the power of prayer, one day these hats will be banned from our official outfit.
