Umm... hi. My friends call me Rose. I have lurked on this site for awhile, trying to obtain an understanding of everyone here. I am not planning on spreading hate or cause problems.
1: I am a Buddhist.
2: I understand according to your religion, I am going to hell.
3: I am here to obtain a better understanding of your religion,
4: I am not wanting to be converted,
5: I am willing to listen and learn
6: I still understand that I am going to hell due to the different views of religion,
7: I registered so I can talk a bit in forums and obtain a better understanding, instead of paging through 10-30 pages of posts and unsure about the context of something said on page 14.
8: I have read the King James version of the Bible several times and even if I do not agree with it, I am not going to say it is wrong.
9: I think I have made it clear that I understand that I will be going to hell in the views of your religion.
10: I am sorry if I have said anything in this post that may have come off as disrespectful, please let me know and I will make a note of it for next time, and if you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer them.

Why did you come to these forums if there was not something stirring in your heart, commanding you to come here and become a True Christian woman? I mean, you say you do not want to be converted, yet you are here. I'd suggest start reading the Bible Study Forum and the Ladies Section to understand the Bible better from a Christian perspective, from a lady like myself, of better yet, Miss Naomi Ruth Lamb, Miss Basilissa, Mrs. Joanna Lynton-Vasey (did I get the order right, dear?) or Mrs. Mary Etheldreda.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Welcome to the forum, Rose. You say you're a Buddhist. I'm just wondering, do you have any proof that reincarnation occurs or that Nirvana exists? As a Christian, I know that all of creation is proof of God's existence because the Bible tells me it is (Ps 19:1; Rom 1:18-26). I know heaven exists because if it didn't, Jesus would have told us.

Jn 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Do you have any evidence to support your beliefs, or do you just take everything on blind faith?

The first thing that strikes me about your post is that in 3 of your 10 points you freely admit that you are Hellbound.

9: I think I have made it clear that I understand that I will be going to hell in the views of your religion.

I suspect that this means that you would prefer NOT to go there - very wisely, if I may say so.

As Mrs Johnson says, you have been guided to Landover Baptist for a reason. Would you like to think about what that reason might be?

I was originally named aleft1, because I am left handed, but SOMEONE changed it, making it difficult to be taken seriously with "alooney1" in the top left corner of anything I post. Good Luck!

Middle-class lie-beral yuppies often tend to proclaim themselves hindus, buddhists or all kinds of other oriental religions that they don't know the first thing about. They merely do so to mock God, not out of genuine faith. I'm sure they wouldn't know the first thing about their own religion, if pressed.

Nonetheless, perhaps you are right, brothers and sisters, perhaps she did indeed come here to unwittingly find her salvation. We shall see.

As for the three posts, I have seen quite a few comments about people going to hell, when I was lurking and reading threads. Since I am not the same religion, I understand quite well that everyone on here have strong views.

I do not smoke grass. I mean this in the politest manner, I understand that your religion states clearly that I am going to hell. As stated above, I just wanted to make it clear that I understand that I would be going to hell in the eyes of your religion.

You say you have read God's word. His instructions are clear and we follow them to the letter. You must see that. What else can you want to know?
