And I would heed to Mr. Jenkins' warning, and stop practicing "playing house" with your siblings. That's repulsive, even for a pagan.

I'll reiterate. I'm not playing house. I'm doing my part as a member of my family, which also includes such things as light disciplining. (I am a sister, though, not a parent, so I'll leave the heavy spankings to Mom and Dad.
)
Though I have to ask. What is so very wrong with playing house? Almost every Christian resource and catalog that I have seen advocates it, especially Beautiful Girlhood. I loved playing 'mommy' to my dolls - when I was around six, of course.

Re: Hey Everybody
Thanks! I was starting to get very confused. Everyone here seemed to be the 'burn in hell' kind of Christians, and I was beginning to get discouraged. Thank you for being encouraging!Originally posted by Mary Etheldreda View PostIt's a proven fact that witches always get fat and ugly. I hope that helps, and welcome to our friendly forum!

I assure you, I have no intention becoming an 'Old Maid', and I certainly want to have children - I definitely have had a lot of practice with my four younger brothers! Though, if the man that God intends for me never comes along, then I won't get married, and therefore won't have children. I pray daily that will never happen.

Now that you say it, I really should have gone with a saint. I guess I'm just so used to using 'Bellethiel' that I did it out of habit. I looked her up - St. Basilissa was an admirable woman. Once again, Bellethiel is not the name of a demon, it simply means 'strong maiden' - a translation of my English name - in a fictional language created by a Christian for his book series, based on the language of Old English.
I know, right? How can people not treat it as the only credible source of all information, right?
It is the only truly credible source of all information. Someone twisted my words, I was referring to the satire site called the Onion.
Sorry to disappoint you, but our Easter was over a week ago. You may thank idiot Romans who weren't able to count how many days there were in a year. And the stubbornness of Orthodox churches which decided not to switch to the more accurate Gregorian calendar.
I know it was, but my parish follows the Orthodox calendar for Pascha. Not my decision, and it would be a lot easier if it was on the Gregorian calendar. At least it is for the rest of the year, like Christmas (Nativity).
Indeed He is.
Truly, He is Risen!

P.S. Any idea how to change my username? Anybody?

Re: Hey Everybody
Okay then. So someone though it'd be a good idea to go and edit what I had last said. If this happens again, then I give up. I believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16), and the most reputable source in the universe. In the above post, I was referring to the Onion, a satire site, and someone changed 'onion' to 'Bible', for some reason that I'm sure made perfect sense to them.
Also, 'Sindarin' is a language made up by Professor Tolkien, himself a Christian. I got it off of a fan site, not 'demonnames.com'.
So apparently I'm now an 'obese teenage witch'. Huh? I can kinda see where they might possibly get the 'witch' from, and I did say that I was a teen, but 'obese'? How is that even an insult? And I also happen to be rather skinny for my age...
James Hutchins: I'm actually not sure what 'asexualistic' means, but from it's usage it appears to have a negative connotation. I DO want to be a Christian, and I have already accepted Christ, whoever moderated my comment twisted my words. I love the Bible, I was speaking of something completely different. I have to say though, your last sentence was absolutely beautiful.
Alvin Moss: I was using poetic language when referring to a fire, attempting to create a relaxing image in the mind, the same way any good author does. Even Luke does so in the Acts of the Apostles. A priest is like a pastor. In fact, the priest of my parish is referred to as the pastor of the parish. The Orthodox Church is, well, the Orthodox church. It's a little hard to explain on a forum. If you're curious, I'd look up the OCA website. Also, I have been seeking Jesus since I was old enough to understand what my parents were saying (around 3yo)

Fires? Priests? Orthodox what?
You are very confusing. Seek Jesus or burn.

Re: Hey Everybody
Tell me friend, you seem to like so many things in life, why don't you want to be a Christian? Is it because you want to be 'asexualistic' and just want someone to listen? Jesus is there, waiting at the foot of your bed, ready to envelope you in His powerful arms and hold you to His majestic Bosom.
