    Man on Fire

Hello. I am Adam. About 17-18 months ago I was getting close to age 30, and I received a calling from God. God is almost all I think about now.

I have been scouring the internet for new ways to serve God in my calling, and helping correct people where correction is needed and open eyes. I was searching for Christian forums and found this one, and decided to see what Landover Baptist Church was about.

God has a big heart, and a lot of Love to give the world. I hope you all know, and feel the fulness of God's Love.

    Hello Adam,

Welcome to this forum. Please tell us what Church you visit, how you found Jesus (if you did) and which Bible verse you like most. The Christians on this forum like to know these things.
Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

Best wishes for the people in Ukraine.

The word of God is what you need. Check this out: 2 Timothy 3:16

Welcome to our friendly forum. Tell us about yourself and how you found Jesus. What is your congregation? Who is your Pastor? Omit no detail, no matter how sordid.

      God Bless!

        Re: Man on Fire

        I grew up in a Non-Denominational Church.

The Last Church I attended was a Primitive Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN.

One of my favorite Bible verses is James 1:2-4. To grow in Faith and Patience a Man needs to be tested, not tested for God, but for man so man knows what he is capable of, his limits, and how to lean and Trust in God. To be find that comfortable place between God's Rod of Misery and his Staff leading to Joy and God's Kingdom.

I sort of live like a 31 year old hermit right now. It is just me and God.

          Re: Man on Fire

I am apparently, unsaved trash, so let me bring you out of the darkness and into the light.

Miracles happen at the intersection of Reason and Faith. The more Faith you have, the more God becomes your Reason.

If I am a Bridegroom looking for a Bride, and Israel brought me a virgin similar to King David on his death bed, then I am taking a Leap of Faith. I have never met that girl before, and I am trust in them to find me one. She is showing her belief in me as her husband similar to Rebekah who had never seen Issac before when she agreed to go Marry him, and we have the rest of our lives to grow in Faith and Trust with each other.

Faith in God is similar. God's Love is Fatherly and Patriarchal. It is clean and pure, but unfortunately apostates and heretics like to make it weird. (1 Corinthians 11:3)

The Bible is sharper than any double edged sword. It is full of valid statements that may seem contradictory. These statements are not wrong. The Truth is down the middle.

The Lord is a Man of War. (Exodus 15:3)

          Gospel of Peace.

          Show kindness and mercy.

Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child.

If I am a teacher in a classroom, and I have misbehaving students, then I show no kindness or mercy by sparing the proverbial rod. It is sort of like Ezekiel's Angels.

God likes zeal. Be angry and sin not. David was a warrior King, and he had a heart like God's. God builds Mighty Men. I like finding Christians who are passionate. I don't like seeing Christians who are false in the passion. If I am a servant of God, then you have just called me Unsaved Trash. That would make this Church Evil Farmers? (Luke 20:9-19) God is Love. If Love is not at the center of your ministry, then you are wrong.

I am a Bridegroom looking for a Bride. If I was to be married at your Church the Pastor is going to disrespect my bride to be, and me as her husband:

"5. I require at least 3 counseling sessions, of at least 30 minutes in length, with the couple before the wedding. In addition, I will need several one-hour private counseling sessions with the bride-to-be. Some of these sessions may need to be scheduled late at night, as my availability is subject to God's will."
What happens behind closed doors? God knows.

It used to be a single or married woman behind closed doors with a man who is not her husband or family was taboo. A woman who falls into sin is often made a liar. What is happening behind that closed door? Late at night even? I am the man, and the husband, and the leader of the marriage. I don't need another man "counseling" my bride to be without me in private unless it is her dad. Maybe that is just me?

Trust is partially about leaving no room to doubt. She is a woman. She is going to guard her reputation and desirability. If a man forces himself on her or uses his position of authority in wicked or evil ways, then who is she going to tell?

Hopefully the pastor is a good man, who just made some blind mistakes with that, but I am God's detective as part of my calling, and this type of thing raises my suspicions.

              Re: Man on Fire

Let me tell you of God's Love. Elisha was a zealous juggernaut. When Elisha wanted x2 Elijah Spirit. In order to have this, and see Elijah as he went off, Elisha had to perform a feat of great Mental and Physical Fortitude. He had a lot of motivation and desire, and suffered and endured trials and hardships for the Lord. Love is a two way street, and Elisha loved God. He had a lot of God's Spirit. Mocking Elisha is a lot like mocking God.

As a veteran, and an NCO, I suffered and endured a lot as well prior to my calling. Personally, when I see 18 year old young men, especially if they are rude, I just want to put trials on them till they have a change of attitude. That is the type of authority and control I wielded, and I didn't feel bad about it. If a soldier is out of line, he may die or his buddy may die or he may making life harder for me because I have to clean up his mess.

God is Love. We are made in his image. Love can be hurt. (Ezekiel 23)(Isaiah 45:7)

God uses allegories of a vineyard a lot for mankind. If we are a vineyard, then God's spirit runs through us (heard it through the grapevine). Some men like Elisha are liked the prized vegetable at the county fair. Some young men, like the mocking youth, were like the left leaning protestors of their day. (2 Kings 2:23-25)

If there is evil and wickedness going on in this forum, then I would pray that God blesses those responsible with trials. (James 1:2-4) David and Davey Crocket wrestled bears. Those youths were the chaff of their day. I lived for five years waking up and hoping to die almost everyday until I received a calling from God and found him a in a very real way. If I can endure something like that, and survive, then so can you.

Friend, you seem uppity, but I believe that salvation is possible. You will be classified as unsaved trash until such time that you may be admitted to this forum as a member. You may well be saved, but your comments would make it seem otherwise. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and trust that you are on the path to salvation. The Investigations Ministry will delve into your back ground and give us the truth in due time.

I believe that your failings derive from your own admitted exile from the company of the saved and your obvious suspicion of our humble Pastor stems from your lack of a Pastor these many years. The Lord has commanded that Christians come together for praise and fellowship. That is the purpose of this forum, so you are on the right track already.

I pray that you will find Jesus. It's that or Hell. Don't go there; it's too hot.

                  Is that new age unitarian homosexual church doctrine? God is adequately described in the bible;

                  Nahum 1:2
God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

                      A cautious welcome to you, Mr. Ramsey;

You seem uppity and boastful. Kindly remember that we have lots of people flaming us so, until the Department of Faith has seen you are worthy of becoming a Forum Member and then, True Christian, you must remain unsaved trash. The road is long, Mr. Ramsey...I'm still meekly on my own, to becoming a True Christian woman. I hope you continue your faith in our Father to become a True Christian.
