    Hello fellow believers

Hello all. I was saved in May of 2005 about three months before I turned 16. The life I was brought out of was one of Porn and Booze. Praise God that I was given a Bible the week before that. If you want to know anything else just ask.

Welcome to God's favorite forum. This is called the "introduction" section for a reason. Please introduce yourself properly. Name, gender, age, home town. What Church were you raised in? Where do you attend now? What are some of your favorite Scriptures? What sins have you struggled with?

Name is John Monroe Smith, just shy of 26, live in San Angelo, Texas. As I said previously Porn and Booze were a huge part of my past. Psalm 94:12 is my favorite verse.

I have been to San Angelo many times, as it is on the road to Glorietta. The population of the town likes to use the letter "K" in inappropriate ways. They have the "Kwik Mart", "Kwik Cleaners", "The Kozy Korner" and so on. The motel near the air base advertises Kuntry Hospitality and Kwickies. It is well patronized, though no one seems to stay longer than about an hour. I believe it must be something in the water, though there is little of it in those parts.

The main occupation is dealing with goats in diverse manner. They are raised, sheared for wool, milked, butchered to sell in France and stolen by Mexicans. Goat theft is the only occupation practiced by the local Mexicans. There are Negroes present as well, owing to the local Air Force base. Negroes do love to work for the government, not that there is any work done. That is, of course, why they love to work for the government.

The Mormans moved in some time back and bought a large ranch, which they called "Yearning for Zion". Local Christians were having none of it, so they attacked the ranch with tanks and infantry, put the jeffe, Warren Jeffs, to flight (we later caught him and he is in our prison, the scum) and stole their children. A sissy judge made us give the children back, but we kept the cows and goats. At least we kept those the Mexicans didn't steal. We sold the ranch, too and kept all the money, save that we gave up to Jesus through tithes.

This man is the first Christian from San Angelo on this Godly site. Let us make him feel welcome.

Thank you, Brother Alvin, for giving us some of the background against which this young man is struggling.

Welcome, John Monroe Smith (no relation to Joseph Smith, I hope).

Let 1 Peter 4:12-14 be your comfort.

Welcome, John. That introduction is a fine start. I'm glad to hear that the Holy Ghost has come onto you and turned you away from a life of iniquity. The Devil made sex and drink fun just to mock God and lead the less faithful astray. But now that you've found the Bible, you're not going to be enjoying sex and liquor and other pleasures of the flesh any more! GLORY!

I don't know what a Kwickie is, and I'm not sure that I want to. I will admit that I have a morbid curiosity, though, about what their Katholik Church looks like. No doubt it's even even tackier than normal. Although nobody beats the Mexican Evangelicals when it comes to tacky churches. I saw one once with a velvet Jesus altar and a used bottle of Don Julio 1942 serving as a baptismal font! Even so, I love our crazy little brown Evangelical bretheren from south of the border. Provided, of course, that they are here legally.

Are there a lot of Mexicans in San Angelo?

Welcome to these fine forums! I'm so glad you have turned away from sin. What Bible do you have? Remember, KJV is the only true Bible; NIV and all the rest are just fakes.
