  • Greetings

    Hello,

My name is Ashley. I am not saved, and I've not decided to follow any religion in my life, until now. I have also been lurking around the forum abit today, simply reading and trying to learn. I expect to be mocked and such, and that will not bother me. For I come here seeking knowledge and with the hopes that I might be saved. I am 20 years old, single, and currently an RN. I try to be polite and respectful to most people, and I am very interested in learning more about this forum as well as having a relationship with God. I might add I was never raised as a Christian, so I apologize ahead of time if I offend anyone without knowing, and will try my best not to.

Welcome to Gods favorite forum! You will be able to find Christian and Godly answers to all lifes questions here.

Why do you choose to not believe in the ONE True God? Have you looked into getting a KJV 1611 Bible? I assure you it is a good read!
Gather around so that I can read to you from my book of TRUTH. Genesis thru Revelations....Pick one!

Luke 12:5- But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Thank you for your welcome! I do not own the King James Version yet, but I will surely be getting one very soon! Well in all honesty I've been angry at God for certain reasons, but recently I realized it's not God's fault, it was my own and man's fault for such things. And now I am tired of living without no spiritual hope or such... having hope helps you succeed through life, so I wish to learn to have a relationship with God and to become a Christian.

          Hi Ashley.

No offense, but why not stay where you are? You're much better off. Seriously, have you read the bible? There's nothing wrong with not following any religion or god if you so choose.

Well, considering that's a silly made up fairytale, I'd say yes, she's definitely much better off.

Well, it just doesn't feel right for me anymore. And I've tried other forms of Christianity...they seem like they've tailored to the religion to what they -want- it to be, which doesn't make me feel safe at all. I'd rather do what God wishes me to do than what I want to do...

Also, is there any where particular I should start off as a newbie? Or should I just read from start to finish?

Welcome young lady, to God's favorite forum. I'm sorry you haven't gotten much of a warm reception, but I'm here now to guide you.

You should start off with THIS thread, which is specifically designed for new posters. Also THIS is a summary of our beliefs.

The Word of God can be had for free if you just visit your local Independent Baptist Church and ask the Pastor for one. Make sure you ask specifically for a KJV1611 Authorized Version Bible.

Also you can read one online at www.biblegateway.com. And for your assisted reading pleasure, Brother V has got a wonderful thread going HERE called "Bible in a Year." You can start there if you like. The accompanying commentaries are excellent.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Be sure that you ignore any advice offered by folks labeled as "unsaved trash," as they will steer you down the path to eternal damnation just for the sport of it (I'm looking at YOU Rachael VanHellbound ). Also, feel free to contact me privately by clicking on my email link at the bottom of my signature. Confidentiality is 100% guaranteed.

Please tell us more about yourself. How many Christian children do you have? What kind of work does your Godly husband do?

                            I'll be praying for you.
                            Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

                              Re: Greetings

Thank you very much for the welcoming, Pastor, and for the wonderful advice. For the moment I am unmarried with no children. (Had a very protective and intimidating father growing up, and am just now getting onto my own feet.) So I am currently independent. My hopes are that once I've become saved, that God will bless me with a supportive husband.
