Good morning Carl I'm just having elevenses. The Bible is a great book and Proverbs is one of my favourites. Most proverbs are written by Solomon, the wisest man ever in time and these days I suppose we need to mention that's the “A” series of time not some lunatic proposition many of which emerge from England such as that the past is a future event in the sense that next year will only become past in the future

But not all proverbs are written by Solomon! Agur Jakehson wrote chapter 30 and started off by acknowledging his own inferiority:

PROVERBS 30 KJV
2-3 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.

But he knows to trust The LORD and ignore ravings from such as Anglican archbishops who append volumes of drivel to God's Pure Word but not yet outstripping the papists who are recanting dogma like there's no tomorrow.

5-6 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Next we find the condition of heathen wretches everywhere described rather well especially considering your experiences in the land of wanton trollops I am revolted whenever I see them walking around can't they think about anything else.

12-14 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
15-16 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.

As from your experiences you may know the word horseleach is particularly apposite, outranking heathen by a good head and I understand that you are married? Is your wife getting enough to drink? As long as you avoid red wine there are a number of options available and God recommends other colours such as brown or green and of course wine need not only be made from grapes. There is barley wine and champagne and pear wine and some quite pungent varieties made from Artemisia absinthium which are often served with sugar but I prefer without myself. Perhaps you could try her on some of those? I've checked them out and none of them are red.
