I gave the verses in my post. If you want more verses:

First Timothy 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
First Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
First Timothy 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
First Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
First Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

I dont know about this because I have not studied that topic too much as I am not women myself.

Could you give exact verses please? I found just this:

34 the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says.

Here 'speaks' would extend to 'speak in tongues' as well. However based on this verse I would not see a problem when woman who has a gift of tongues serves in prayer team in church.

It does not directly forbid 'prophesy' - she can always write it down - in that case she can prophesy with out having to speak audibly.

So the problem was not that woman would have sinned if they did that but rather that they were interrupting the service with asking questions. And such interruptions and audible chats should be avoided by man also not just women.

    4. (34-35) Women should not judge prophecy or disrupt meetings.
Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church.

    a. Let your women keep silent in the churches: Paul has already assumed the right of women to pray or prophecy publicly (as stated in 1 Corinthians 11:1-16). Here, he probably is saying women do not have the right to judge prophecy, something restricted to the male leadership of the church.
    i. Instead of judging prophecy, women should be submissive to what the leadership of the church judges regarding words of prophecy.

    b. If they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home: In the ancient world, just as in some modern cultures, women and men sit in different groups at church. Among the Corinthian Christians, there seems to have been the problem of women chattering or disrupting the meetings with questions. Paul is saying, "Don't disrupt the meeting. Ask your questions at home."
    i. In the Jewish synagogues, men and women would sit apart. But if a woman chattered or called out to her husband sitting far off, she would be dealt with severely. The Corinthian church may have adopted the same kind of seating arrangement, but with many women from Gentile backgrounds, they did not know how to conduct themselves at a church meeting. Paul is teaching them how.

    c. It is shameful for women to speak in church: Again, because Paul assumed the right of women to pray and prophesy under proper authority in 1 Corinthians 11:1-16, the context suggests speak refers to either the judging of prophecy (something for the leadership of the church to do) or to disruptive speaking.
    i. Alan Redpath points out that Paul uses the Greek verb laleo, which means, "to talk, question, argue, profess, or chatter." Redpath says, "It has nothing to do with prophecy or prayer; it is not public speaking as such."

Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order.

    a. Desire earnestly to prophesy: When you come together as a church, it is far better to be a blessing to someone else. Therefore, prophecy is much more useful than tongues.

    b. Do not forbid to speak with tongues: Though Paul will carefully regulate, and even discourage the use of tongues in the church, he will not forbid it. At the same time, he will greatly encourage its use in one's personal devotions.

    i. The gift of tongues is not to be despised. It especially has a valuable place in personal devotional time. But the gatherings of the church should emphasize prophecy and mutual blessing.

Btw thanks guys for attacking me! Now I know that I am on the right path at least - I mean from the style you talk to me it is clear that satan is using you to stop me from getting these gifts. Why? Because God wouldn't talk to me in unloving disrespectful way. Now it is clear that satan wouldn't attempt to stop me unless he had good reason to. And right now he is using you guys to stop me. Therefore now I know that I should pursue and desire gifts even more.

First Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
First Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
First Corinthians 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
First Corinthians 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

First Corinthians 14:23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

I agree with you that this gift can come from satan as he copies the miracles from God and loves to appear as the angel of light to deceive even the chosen ones if possible. But it does not mean that it is always from satan. Because if satan is able to do something then God is also.
    Dear Sinner,

All this has been explained in detail on this Godly Forum by our beloved Pastor Levi.

    But the Pentecost is Biblical.

It sure is. Let's get to the scriptures.

    Acts 2:2-4
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Whoa! Whoa! Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they did start speaking in strange gibberish.

Nah, I'll just keep reading the chapter to get the actual context.

    Acts 2:5-8

5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

So you can see the Pentecost was an actual miracle. Everyone could hear everyone else in his own language. They didn't start speaking in BA-BA-BA-BA-BA-BA-BA-BA-BA. They spoke in their own languages and the other people could understand it. There were no translators involved.

What does the Bible say about this ability to speak in tongues today?

1 Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

It was a gift that the early apostles had. If the apostle Paul is to be believed, it will fade away since his time.
You see, it is the difference between actual languages (I've yet to hear a Pentecostal demon-possessed US citizen talk in Burushaski or Ket) and the Pentecostal gibberish that determines the Spiritual value of this phenomenon.

It is good that you seek to overcome your ignorance!

    1 Peter 1:14
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

I am instead praying that you will have the discernment to avoid false teachings.
    You have done this well!

    i prayed for you
    ty.

I've seen that on the TV and they look like they are having seizures.
Ok, that's strange. Maybe the one you saw had this gift from satan and not from God? Because if it is truly from God, you should have control over gift, not gift over you....

What does that have to do with Salvation?
    None.

Hello, dear, and to our forum!

Have you tried the Duolingo app? It's free and works quite well as far as learning foreign tongues is concerned.

Sorry of it offended you guys... I am not that kind of person who would write 300 page long book of himself...

We would like to know a little bit about you. Who is your Pastor? What congregation are you a member of? What revolver do you favor? How many are your sons? Don't be shy; out with it.
Since I am in small place with small number of people, giving these details would allow anyone who reads this post to guess who I am.
