Hello, Evan. Egypt has a long history of being invaded, conquered, and ruled by different people (Nubians, Assyrians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Europeans, etc, etc). That does not mean abrupt changes in culture, language, nor in the genetic makeup of the people who lived there. Invasions meant changes on the top, but there was much more continuity among the ruled people. Obviously there was plenty of cultural, linguistic, and genetic enrichment, but it is not unlike the cultural, linguistic, and genetic changes of any nation at any time.

Hence, if the Egyptians today could not claim ancient Egyptians as their ancestors, then British people today could not claim anything in England older than A.D. 1066 as theirs, and Spanish people could not claim anything in Spain older than pretty much 1491 (when we finally got rid of the Arab conquerors), etc. That would create a very short, poor, and boring history of nations, don't you think?
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

They're weak. Why would you want to study weak people? The LORD manipulated the Egyptians (Exodus 9:12), and the Arabs manipulated the Egyptians. Why don't you study a strong, courageous, industrious, Godly, alpha race like Americans?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
