How is it, fellow, that you come to worship this wretch?

Ah, yes. I have gotten this question considerably - and understandably so. Some people believe that Satanism = Devil worship. This is not it, however. We do not believe in "Satan" as Christianity would paint the expression.

Let's start with Satan as a being. Within Satanism, Satan is essentially nothing more than a symbol. As said in the Satanic Bible: “Satanism demands study—NOT worship.” Satan, as our symbol, represents many things, and these things are described in the Nine Satanic Statements, if you wish to know more.

But then, if we're going to view this question instead as "Why do you chose to follow Satanism?" I can give a more insightful answer.

Of course, exactly like how I'm sure Christianity represents yours beliefs, Satanism represents mine. Not only in terms of "Hey, this sounds ethical (to me)." but also of how to view the world. I don't know how educated you are in terms of Satanism, but Satanism, too, has its "sins" and "rules." I will not link them, as I am not here to preach about Satanism, but if you find yourself interested in them, you can easily find them through google.

I was introduced to Satanism by a close friend of mine. I had high skepticism in the beginning, but after attending various Satanic events, I realized this is what I wanted to dovote myself to. And this was long after I had studied both Islam and Christianity.

I apologize if this seemed a bit rambly. Please ask if you need anything else explained.

I have, however, read both the Bible and the Koran to get a better view of those religions respectively. If there was any infortmation about other religions, I must have overlooked them as I did not experience that.

That's probably because you have not been exposed to any of the texts of the Sumerian religion. Most of Genesis as well as several other parts of the Old Testament have deep similarities with the Sumerian texts, almost as if they were the result of a plagiarism from these texts - not the other way around because the Sumerian texts are at least 1000 years older.

I'm sorry you think that, but I do still commend you for taking your time in reading it.

I have read every sacred text of every religion that I could locate. Despite repetitions and other literary techniques which don't seem as appealing from the modern point of view, Mesopotamian writings are among my absolute favorites, as they belong to the very foundation of the entire Western civilization. Edda and Kalevala are great, too. And Popol Vuh is awesome. Really, all sacred texts are deeply fascinating.

As for my father, he did no such thing, and I am lucky for that. Hitting your child is neglect and it can cause quite severe mental setbacks, like anxiety, depression and withdrawal. Haha. That would be quite the experience! But no, unfortunately not so. As for my physical health, I am a healthy weight and also train regularly per week. In that sense, maybe I'm a more "butch" lesbian? My hair reaches to my waist, though admittedly it's usually up in a ponytail, haha. Tattoos are not my thing. I do not smoke or drink, never have. And my shoes almost always have a bit of heel, and I spend a bit too much money on them.

Oh, no! I'm sorry, perhaps I misworded. I meant that while I did read the Satanic Bible, I did not find much about other religions there and I wasn't hoping to find it. I was under the impression you assumed I had.

Wow! I am very impressed by your devotion. I can't say I have read that many, unfortunately, even if I wish to broaden my mind like so. However, I think that is partly why I'm here. Not to become a Christian, but perhaps learn what some Christian think. I also think discussion and debate is extremely important when it comes to religion. Or anything.

Of course a child is bound to have some "foolishness" in their hearts. They're children, for crying out loud. They're growing up. And once they grow up, they will learn.

If I am truly wrong in what I believe, I will learn. Because it it's truly so foolish, one day, I'll trip over it and I'll learn. That's how you learn. Not by forcing your opinions onto a child by beating them. When you do that, they will learn nothing but fear for you. No child should live in fear of their parents.

And as for your offer, I will decline. As I said, I do not wish for your prayers. I wish that if I'm wrong, I'll learn. If that happens, perhaps I'll repent. But I will never ask of you to pray for me, because that is then my mistake, and I do not want others to ask forgiveness for me. If such be the case, I will do it myself.

I must disagree with you. While dominance and respect is needed, they should never be confused with fear. Fear is a cheaper, sloppier version of respect.

Instead of going the short route and making your children fear you, you talk to them, as a fellow human. If you respect them, they should respect you. If they don't, they'll learn what that does them on their own, not by you beating them. Lecturing is of course important, but it should not be all.

Love and respect. They both go hand in hand. You do not need to instill fear to make other people realize what power you may have over their life. And it's not even about power, if you're a good leader, parent, anything, people will follow you because they love and respect you. Because they believe that you are an idol. Not a neglecter.

I cannot claim to be the best parent, but fear is not the way to go, for it will make them estranged from you.

While I must say I disagree on your opinion on Obama (I do not think he was unqualified, unprepared or a humiliation. Perhaps not perfect, but I was not expecting that), I think that if he truly was a terrible president, now we should have learned from his supposed mistakes.
