Re: My brief introductory comments as requested to do so.

Since people are so very concerned with extra periods, points , how does one get the "forum gods" to give powers of editing posts ?

For those who do not know, A reliable source had said that the information was directly from Bill Clinton, a few years back, that Hillary had been involved in witchcraft for many years. It is on a youtube video, but I have no idea where to find that, now.

Hello, and welcome to our friendly forums! I'm so glad Jesus led you to us! We're always happy to fellowship with other Christians who anticipate the Glorious Day when Christ tosses all the unsaved into the Lake of Fire and they begin an eternity of torment and unfathomable pain and agony!

I'd love to hear more about your opinion regarding Hillary. Perhaps the Holy Ghost has spoken to you personally about her and you can give us some more insight here: Hillary Clinton: Witch or Demon?

    Matthew 12:36

I am not sure if his language, Canadian, allows for that or not. I do pray that the LORD GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob heals him so he can use proper punctuation before I scream Jesus Mary and Joseph - using the holy family's names in vain.

Hello Gilbert and to our friendly forum!

Since you seem to have problems distinguishing between periods and commas, do you think that praying to God to heal your poor eyesight would help (Mark 11:24)? It would certainly be easier than looking for a pair of glasses, don't you think? (Not to mention that inability to distinguish between a dot and a line is not something that can be solved just with glasses, there seems to be something seriously wrong with your eyesight).

Or maybe that's a problem which can be solved by cleaning your computer screen? In which case you could probably do it yourself rather than ask God to to it.

    Just trying to be helpful.

We are well aware of the perversity of the people of Canada and I believe that, in the future, a wall will be needed along our border with that godless place even more than the one we are building between America and Mexico. And Canada will have to pay for it.

In the meantime, we can offer your benighted country a boon. There are small parts of America where there are nests of Hillary supporters and they are currently in a state of mental disarray due to her recent loss. Many feel that these poor souls will never again be able to regain their sanity and that it would be best if they could go and live with their co-religionists. In the case of Canada, the extreme cold in your country has hindered the immigration of a large enough population to support your country. Thus, the third world status of Canada.

If the Canadians could stop drinking the Moose Head long enough to consider our offer, you would find that we will send you thousands of new Canadians who are just like you and will fit in very well. Further, we can offer you Hillary Clinton at no additional charge and, just to make it impossible to refuse, we will send you former President Barak Obama, which former president you can keep or trade to the French, as you please. The French have recently expressed considerable admiration for Mr. Obama. They are even more enthralled with the black man than the Democrats in America.

That is a very good deal for you and you would do well to accept it. All we would ask in return would be Alberta and British Columbia. Also, if you don't want the Yukon, we will take that, too.

    Ellipses

An ellipsis is a set of three periods ( . . . ) indicating an omission. Each period should have a single space on either side, except when adjacent to a quotation mark, in which case there should be no space.

    Informal writing

In informal writing, an ellipsis can be used to represent a trailing off of thought.

If only she had . . . Oh, it doesn’t matter now.

An ellipsis can also indicate hesitation, though in this case the punctuation is more accurately described as suspension points.

    I wasn’t really . . . well, what I mean . . . see, the thing is . . . I didn’t mean it.

Like the exclamation point, the ellipsis is at risk of overuse.

    In quoted material

Ellipses are most useful when working with quoted material. There are various methods of deploying ellipses; the one described here is acceptable for most professional and scholarly work.

The following examples are based on a paragraph from Henry David Thoreau’s Walden:

I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favor in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

Ellipses at the beginning of a quotation

It is rarely necessary to use ellipsis points at the beginning of a quotation, even if the quotation begins mid-sentence. It is also usually acceptable to change the capitalization of the first word of the quotation to match the surrounding material. (When a change in capitalization must be acknowledged, you should use brackets, as explained here.)

“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams,” writes Thoreau, “he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” Moreover, Thoreau claims that “in proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex.”

Quotations placed in the middle of a sentence

When a quotation is included within a larger sentence, do not use ellipsis points at the beginning or end of the quoted material, even if the beginning or end of the original sentence has been omitted.

Correct: When Thoreau argues that by simplifying one’s life, “the laws of the universe will appear less complex,” he introduces an idea explored at length in his subsequent writings.

Incorrect: When Thoreau argues that by simplifying one’s life, “. . . the laws of the universe will appear less complex, . . .” he introduces an idea explored at length in his subsequent writings.

There are many other rules for the ellipsis, including a legal rule which uses 4 dots, but that's another conversation.

You also have the ability to edit before clicking the submit reply button. It's called proofreading.

Isaiah 66:15-17 makes it very clear that those eating unclean animals (including pig) will be killed by the wrath of God, when Jesus returns....

    Do you understand this ??
It is a prophecy for that future time....
    It is not complicated ...
You did not answer the question...

I think it is because you find it unfathomable that so many people can be wrong on this...
I am sure that most others can understand this...
Also, you are commenting on my thread...
I think you are afraid of facing the truth...

I am finding it exceedingly difficult to understand your line of questioning. You do seem to be speaking in a somewhat twisted tongue.

    Isaiah 33:19
“Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech then thou canst perceiue; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not vnderstand.”

Good grief. That was a long post. I actually broke into a sweat trying to get through it. What did it actually tell us? Nothing, apart from the fact that you have never in your life read the Holy Bible (KJV 1611) and understood how to apply the teachings of God.

MitzaLizalor - - ask about I Corinthians 10:25 , so here is my answer...
First, I have never purchased alcohol in my lifetime, just so you know...
One major problem I have, in posting information, here, is not being able to edit errors...
I can read over an article a few times and not see an error, until I post it, at which point, there is nothing that I can do...
This is long, but it is as short as I could make it...
    -
    -
    -
    I Corinthians 10:25
Paul is talking about food or meat offered to idols in this passage ....
That is what this whole discussion is about, both before it and after it....
    -
    -
For all verses where people think that the New Testament does away with the Levitical dietary laws, there is another interpretation that says the dietary laws are NOT done away...
One problem that exists, is that most people do not see, or read the other point of view, that says that the dietary laws section still hold...
    -
    -
In the NT, Some laws in the Torah are done away, but some laws are kept, and some are changed, and some are added....
The problem is to figure out which laws are still in effect, and which are done away.....
    -
    -
Here is a short list of 67 laws in the NT... Most of them were from the OT Torah, and it is right on this forum site....
    landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=65069
    -
    -
We want to know what laws were NOT done away, and which laws are still in effect, because we know some are still in effect...
We know that 9 of the 10 commandments are specifically shown to be completely still in effect in the NT, after the crucifixion ....
Here is a list showing those of the 10 commandments, that are shown to be still in effect, after Jesus death.

    -
    -
None of the Apostles ever say that it is acceptable to eat unclean foods...
There are videos that explain the point of view, that shows that Paul does not do away with the Levitical dietary laws....
This video is more than a hour length, but gives a good overview of this position ( v=PgyhEEQz0PY )... The video title is a bit misleading...
I will give this brief explanation...
One item to remember, when looking at any verses, is that things like swine is never referred to as meat, or food.....
When you see verses that mention the word "meat" it is never connected to unclean things, and it is about food related to idols.....
meat or food can be called unclean if it is dropped on a manure pile or on a dead body, or even offered to idols...
Otherwise, there are no unclean meats and no unclean foods because Unclean things are never called meat or food...
That will explain most verses that people use against the dietary laws...
    -
    -
Isaiah 66:17 --Those eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord....
This is a future prophecy that says that those eating unclean things, will be killed by the wrath of God, when Jesus returns, at that point in the future...
This means that the Levitical dietary laws are one of those laws that have not been done away, and are still in full effect, at that future time, according to this verse Isaiah 66:17....
Since we do not know when this future time is, we should be observing the Levitical dietary laws, always...
    -
    -
Your choices are that you either accept that this is correct, or
the alternative is that either Paul is wrong, or Isaiah is wrong...
If for any chance the food laws section were done away, it would not effect me in the least...
IF as it has been shown, the food laws are still in effect, according to Isaiah 66, millions of people are living in perpetual habitual lawlessness, and will be killed by the wrath of God.
    lawlessness is also iniquity...
Who do you want to roll your dice with, your life with ??....
    -
    -
The dietary laws are simple to keep, as the main things that most people eat, that is unclean, are shell fish, and pigs....
It is not a burden to keep the dietary laws, nor does it put anyone "under the law" to do so....
I have been keeping the dietary law for more than 3 years, and do not even have to think about any problems keeping them, as it is so easy to do....
I just do not buy them... No one needs to follow the man made kosher Jewish laws ... Just do not buy those few unclean foods...
    -
    -
Modern research backs those laws and has shown that eating pigs is among the most unhealthy foods that anyone can put into their body...
Here is a 10 minute video on the toxicity of eating swine. ( v=1nMlDxlw1II )
    -
    -
There is much more on this topic, but it take time to compile all the research, and explain in a cohesive way...
I am continuing my research on this, and so if you have information that will help figure out these dilemmas, post that...

I did try to give the gentleman the benefit of the doubt Sister. I mean really - "I use spell check, therefor grammar mistakes are not my fault...", when the word "therefor" is misspelled (and spell check doesn't correct grammar); he must have a pretty dry sense of humor - much like you Brits.
