    Hello.

I'm here to learn. I came from a Nazarene background from south Texas but have since seen the world. I'm now a combat disabled servant of the lord.

Its been a very violent 15 years for me so I'm now looking for clarity. Most of the end users of my violence have been as fervent in their faith as I am in mine.

I'm a little concerned about the ferocity of verbage in this community but I felt it was generally for a good cause so here I am.

I'm sure the men will want to know all about your hunting, but I'm curious about your personal life. Do you have a wife? Has she glorified the LORD with delivering you strong boys? Does she home educate them? In Texas, secular science is not required to graduate a homeschooler. In fact, no science or history is! How convenient! More time to study the Word of God!

Speaking of which, what is your favorite Bible Verse? I think we can tell a lot about a man by knowing which verse through which the LORD speaks.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

      Re: Hello.

My wife has given me a beautiful daughter. I'm unsure if we're able to have another.

Proverbs 9:10 says the fear ofthe the lord is the beginning of wisdom. I, like Solomon, seek wisdom.

Do not worry. We all have been labeled like that, until the Department of Faith does an extensive research on your background, checks everything is right and changes your status.

In the meantime, please let me know the ways how you discipline your daughter. Do you use an iron rod, or a wooden one? How long is the rod you use?

lol. No rod. Its my intention to raise my child to respect and to in turn command respect. Violence has no place in a respectful relationship. When I speak, the ground shakes and I am unwavering in my command. I see no need in perpetuating inefficient tactics.

Ok. Technically, you are not breaking this verse of the Bible:

Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Because you have a daughter. But, do you love her?

Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

I do hate them. I just have love for the Lord.

I'm not breaking any verse. Of course I love her. I just have really great kid. The practice of articulating expectations works really well. I would suggest that avoiding the need for violence supersedes my need to visit violence upon my child.

You're not listening, dear. My brother in Christ is showing you that the Holy Bible commands you to discipline your child, not only for her own salvation (Proverbs 23:14), but also so she doesn't humiliate your wife (Proverbs 29:15). Also, if you actually love your child, you'll naturally rebuke her like the Lord thy God does. Have you ever actually studied how the Lord thy God rebukes His children? Remember how much He loved King David, but snuffed his own babe just to make a point (2 Samuel 12:13-18)? No one is asking you to kill your child, only the LORD can do that (Genesis 22:2), but Mr. Gonzalez is asking why you're shirking your duty, which is very clear. Why are you embarrassed to actually follow the Word of God?

nobody said I've failed to discipline my child. I just don't need a stick to do it. My daughter is 15 and almost graduating high school with high honors. I'm a former drill sergeant. I'm quite capable of discipline in a way that it simply isn't necessary.

                    I'm listening. Are you?

You're clearly failing. By this age, the Holy Bible is very clear you should have her betrothed to a True Christian(tm) man and ready, if not already, pumping out babies of her own. You can read more about that HERE (follow the discussion HERE). As you haven't raised her to be a Bible Believing, obedient, servant of Christ, you've jeopardized her Salvation.

This is why your title is "unsaved trash." People come in all the time professing to be Christians while never really knowing what Christ would have them actually believe!

But the Bible specifically mentions a rod. Why would you do something else?

I too consider is easier to discipline your child with love, consistent manners, and a good example form you.

But God had other plans for our Christian kids. We should not disobey God, that lead us to Hell. And our kids too. You don't want that, do you?
