I prayed for Brother Etheldreda just now, Mary. Such a shame he has so many business trips that he doesn't get to know the comfort of being in someone's arms very often. Well - I suppose at least not True Christian(TM) ones. From what I hear, anyway.


Have you met his new secretary? She looked lovely at Daniel on East 65th St last week. I suppose you were in the ladies room since I only saw those two. Wish I'd known you were in town! I didn't have time to wait to see you.


Daniel is one of the top places in NYC - but so expensive. Obviously God has blessed Mr. Etheldreda with the means to afford it. Glory!

Greetings Tiffany, welcome to the forum. I understand how confusing it is when trying to think outside the boxes you've been indoctrinated into. There are even people who worship something they call a "prophet" or a "saint" but due to various dogmas drummed into them from birth (or probably before if speech [incl. songs & droning chants] is involved which is quite loud in utero) they deny it. No we're not WORSHIPing the "prophet" or the "saint" haha, they will tell you. But obviously they are.

Hello everyone, my name is Tiffany and I'm new to the forums. First off, I'd like to address and admit that I was baptized as a baby and raised and belonged to a Catholic church, called Holy Name of Jesus. However, I did not and still do not agree with the Catholic faith on their views of the Holy Bible. I have converted to Christianity and view the Holy Bible as the supreme authority of our faith. I have suffered from mental and emotional stress throughout my teen years and was even diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and in my lowest depression, I turned Jesus for help and comfort. I am ready to repent for my sins and turn my way to God's way. I trust that God has a plan for us My favorite bible verse is
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12, New International Version)
I can relate so much because when I was at my lowest points throughout these past few months, I've found comfort in Jesus. It was almost as though he lifted me out of the darkness and into the light

One important step is reading The Bible. Not one with added or deleted verses but The Bible as intended by God for us. I'm happy to post a link.

About the booze, you know God want us to drink a little bit. But if it makes you unconfortable, I can understand


1 Timothy 5:23 - Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.



Proverbs 31


6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.


7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.



But that is if wine does not make you drunk:


Ephesians 5:18 - And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;



You know, is always difficult (yes, the gate is strait, and the path is narrow)
