Hello friend! It is certainly a pleasure to have the opportunity to share with you the Truth™ that is in Christ Jesus! You are correct that Jesus is a God of Peace, but you are mistaken if you believe peace is the extent to which Jesus lords over our lives. Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18). He is our only Sovereign and Lord (Jude 1:4). In fact, He is Lord of all (Acts 10:36; Revelation 17:14).

You are correct to see incongruity here, but it is because your premise is a bit off-kilter that your conclusion can't help but to be wonkey. You see, Jesus is a God of Peace, but He is also a "consuming fire," a jealous God (Deuteronomy 4:24). He demands nothing less than our total devotion (Deuteronomy 6:4-5) and has the right to nothing less for He created us and He has the right to do whatever He wants with His creations (Colossians 1:16; Romans 9:21).

He is perfect justice in divine form (Deuteronomy 32:4). He will reward those who worship Him and punish those who do not, as is His Right (Exodus 34:6-7).

Importantly, referring to your last verse provided here, we know Jesus is the one who goes ahead of those He loves like a "devouring fire." He will destroy our enemies; He will subdue them before us. And we are assured that we will drive them out and annihilate them quickly, just as He has promised (Deuteronomy 9:3). You don't hear as much today about Black Lives Matter, or Occupy Wall Street, or Vegans like you did before President Trump brought Holiness back to the White House, do you? Coincidence? I think not. I don't believe in co-incidences. This is a God-incidence!

Again, you're confused, dear. Sociopathy refers to lack of sympathy for causing the unjust suffering of the innocent. Sinners are not innocent, dear, and the Wrath of God is not unjust. The LORD is very clear that those who abide by His rules will be treated with loving care, those who do not will be plucked from the face of the earth with no more care than the teenager popping the ugly zit from his face. (John 15:2). The question is, do you wish to remain a pus-filled zit on the face of life, or do you wish to be in God's Good Graces? The choice is yours, dear!

Life is oppression, dear. One is naturally a slave to Sin or a slave to Christ (Romans 6:20; 1 Corinthians 7:22). The truth is, dear, those who are in Heaven will not care that they were slaves for a fraction of their existence on earth, and those in Hell will not care that they were once free.

You're confused. It would help to read the passage in context (Jeremiah 18:1-17). You see, Jesus is telling Jeremiah to warn the Israelites who had turned their backs on God and forsook Him for idols that He's going to deliver a Holy Whoopin' if they don't shape up. Like a parent has to sometimes break the toy of their child to get their attention, Jesus sometimes has to break the "toy" of men, that is, destroy their homes, families, land, spirit, etc, to get their attention. This is called Tough Love dear.

In reality, this is another instance of Jesus telling the Israelites, "If I have to turn this car around we won't go to DisneyLand! Don't make me stop and come back there!"

This is a direct example of Jesus correcting the sins of His enemies, of His punishing those who take issue with His Chosen People, like He promises.

I ask because usually when one finds evidence that conflicts with their beliefs, they modify those beliefs to account for newly discovered facts. You, however, maintain a belief that is contrary to known evidence, and even sound surprised each and every time to confront a reality that is not what you expect.

The Canaanites had iron chariots but Israel had God on their side. The Israelite chariots contained thousands of angels (Psalms 68:17). Nevertheless the Israelites allowed their fears to prevail against their faith, and Jesus let them make that choice and suffer the consequences.

I see you're taking an interest in humanistic rationality. Perhaps you've read something about Aristotle or the slightly later Euclid? Their propositions were shown to have no universal application even in antiquity, indeed Presocratic ideas had refuted Aristotle before he really got started. Nevertheless, ancient rules of logic are still endorsed by some secularists and you seem to be referring to those. There are even pastors who take that approach but, as Jeremiah points out, they're leading people astray where the wind will blow them away.

We are familiar with these rules of logic, of course, just like we know what arsenic is without actually eating it. Your little piece contains numerous logical fallacies (according to the standard you think you're applying) and I'm happy to provide a small selection for you to look up. You, or any passer by reading the post, will need to decide which fallacy applies where but more importantly I'd recommend not taking random selections out of context and encourage everyone to read The Bible, putting the foolishness of wisdom behind them.
