Re: Hello..........................
Welcome, Michael. I am always ready for stimulating interaction with another man.
We here at Landover do not engage in "charity" as it is commonly known. We believe men should be men and make their own way, no matter how tough it gets. God didn't make us to depend on someone else for our well being or livelihood, so while it may seem noble, I believe most of us would say "meh" to the whole charity thing, particularly since it is being done by others. Landover likes to be innovative. Also, our pastor needs an airplane.
Your desire to isolate us in order to discuss your topics is reminiscent of a molester trying to get little Jimmie or Johnnie in the basement to play (or, I suppose, little Jeannie). We've not seen or heard from Brother Dunwoody, who attended church where I used to go in Manhattan 2 years ago. Dunwoody used to invite the children to the church basement to pray "in secret" but Tommy Swann's father wandered down there and found Dunwoody laying hands on Tommy in an unholy way. So no, I think we'll keep this discussion here. Are you against technology? Who talks to anyone in person anymore?
I think the way we worship God and show others our perfection is going well. God doesn't change, so why should we? I do pray for you and will do so intermittently across the span of the short time we have left until Jesus breaks the clouds in a shout of GLORY. I hope you're ready for that day. I am.

Re: Hello..........................
My dear, why do you think this is a novel idea? There are literally millions of church and non-church based charity organizations. Food banks. Soup kitchens. Homeless shelters.Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostAll I’m trying to do is improve the way we do things and church is just one of the avenues to do so. Ewww, gross!yoga/a new style of physical fitness allowing for a healthier user base.
Why would any self-respecting Christian want to dirty their hands by getting involved with the demonic yoga practices???
You think, that living in a house is a luxury? Then there are the luxuries such as cars, housing and stuff.
That might be true in tropical areas of the world, but try to do that in Michigan, and you'll freeze to death during your first winter!
Same way, owning a car is not a luxury. Without a car you cannot work here in the Godly Midwest - there is no public transportation, and walking 30 miles to work is not a good option.
Do you seriously think we only pray and post here on Sundays? We could greatly improve every aspect of church to more than just attending sunday for “worship” because our faith in God is always, not just sunday
These people have my prayers. It's the best I can offer!and I think God would enjoy seeing us work together to improve not just our community but those less fortunate than us as well.
So... your Great Plan is to make everybody happy, but without converting them, so that they can enjoy an eternity in Hell after a blissful lifetime.I hope we can help out those around us without forcing our beliefs down their throat because that’s just wrong.
You are very cruel.
Actually, more than one. For example, the daughter of Jephthah willingly allowed her father to kill her, because this is what God wanted as payment for Jephthah's military victory. It's a beautiful story you can read it in Judges 11:30-40.Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostLook, I understand the bible think of the stories in it. There's one where God asked a father to kill his only child and he did.
Spoiler alert: she ends up sacrificed and dies at the end.
It's God's Will, dear, otherwise, He wouldn't allow it.What does that mean? It means people do crazy things in the name of God.
After all, He is God of War:Look at all the wars that have been fought in his name.
Exodus 15:3 The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.
You are right on the last point! Our moral values are very, very strong! You think this is his favorite forum, all I see is indoctrinated brainwashed people with a belief system that has very strong moral values.
Nobody cares what you think. What's your evidence, dear?I too believe in God but our beliefs are somewhat different.
Hint: our evidence is in the Holy Bible - which, coincidentally, is the sole evidence for God's existence.
Well, sweetie, the other option seems to be communism, which boils down to solving problem of social inequalities by making everyone equally poor, and imprisoning, torturing, and/or killing everyone who dares to disagree.I honestly don't know man, I just know that there's a better way we could be living. At the moment first world countries take advantage of the world through capitalism

Good point. In addition to the Bible, I would recommend you also study Trump's messages.Originally posted by schuch.mx View Posttrumps messages
If by "stories" you mean "historical facts," then you do indeed understand.Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostLook, I understand the bible think of the stories in it.
I assume you're referring to Abraham and Isaac? In that case, perhaps you should reread Genesis 22:10-13.Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostThere's one where God asked a father to kill his only child and he did.
You clearly don't understand. God TOLD Abraham to kill his son. If he'd disobeyed, he would've been cast into Hell. Whereas you are trying to start a cult because that's what you think God would do if He were just like you (despite the fact that you have the KJV 1611 Bible as a resource to learn what He actually is like and what He wants), Abraham was doing exactly what God required of him.Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostWhat does that mean? Correct!Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostYou think this is his favorite forum, all I see is [...] people with a belief system that has very strong moral values.
Let me put it this way. Let's say some delusional maniac decides to become a Communist. To be a Communist, one must follow the beliefs of Karl Marx. To learn what Karl Marx thought and what he felt people should do, one would read his book, The Communist Manifesto. If someone doesn't bother to read this book or care what Marx actually thought, but acts in his name and makes up their own rules based on what they would've thought if they had been Marx, they're not really a Communist.Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostI too believe in God but our beliefs are somewhat different. It works the same way with God. God created the Universe. He created man. He created Heaven and Hell. To give people the chance to go to the former instead of the latter, he wrote a book, the 1611 King James Bible (2 Timothy 3:16). God is perfect, so the Bible is also perfect (Matthew 5:48, Psalm 18:30). You must follow the Bible to the letter, for not following even one rule is the same in God's eyes as not following any of it (James 2:10).
God gave you free will. You can choose to follow his rules and get into Heaven. You can also choose to be an atheist, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Jew, a homosexual, a Democrat, a Hindu, a Catholic, a Mormon, or any other kind of sinner, and you will get into Hell. The choice is entirely yours.
Agnosticism is covered under the second category listed above.Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostI honestly don't know man,
Life is but an instantaneous blip in the vast expanse of eternity, but it is that millisecond in divine time that determines how the rest of it goes. If you live your temporal life in abject misery and poverty and oppression, but you follow God's word, you will get into Heaven. Some are blessed and live in comfort and luxury. If they follow God's word, they too get into Heaven. However, if you choose to live in sin, in drunken debauchery and promiscuity and blasphemy, your hedonistic pleasure will only last for that millisecond, and you will be cast into torture and hellfire for an infinite amount of time.Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostI just know that there's a better way we could be living.
Thus, there is no better way to live than God's path. This life DOES NOT matter. It's the afterlife that matters.
You've already gone over the edge, son. And the bottom of that edge is Hell. The only book worth reading has already been written by God Almighty: the 1611 KJV Bible. Read it and follow it to the letter and you won't go over that edge, you'll go to Heaven.Originally posted by schuch.mx View Post[Marxist propaganda deleted] This is barely the tip of the iceberg, would you consider helping me write a book to make sure I don't go too far off the edge?
You'll be in my prayers,
Dennis Lukes

Re: Hello..........................
Is this some kind of attempt at using "science" to get us to turn away from God? If it is, we're not buying it. After you take Mr. Lukes' suggestion to get a Bible, you should find and read 1 Timothy 6:20. After that, I'd suggest you read it again.Originally posted by schuch.mx View PostI too believe in God but our beliefs are somewhat different. You're you because of the frontal lobe allowing you access of the illusion of choice due to the ability of self reflection. Then there's the reptilian brain which overwrites everything in order to make sure you have your basic needs met. And finally the mammalian brain which is the whole reason you believe in God in the first place(due to its nature of social aspects.)

I suppose we could talk here, though live conversation trumps messages by a large degree.
Look, I understand the bible think of the stories in it. There's one where God asked a father to kill his only child and he did. What does that mean? It means people do crazy things in the name of God. Look at all the wars that have been fought in his name. I honestly don't know man, I just know that there's a better way we could be living. At the moment first world countries take advantage of the world through capitalism and yet God would find that notion horrendous due to the fact we're taught to give and provide aid to the less fortunate. Look at the rest of the world and just how impoverished they all are.
This is barely the tip of the iceberg, would you consider helping me write a book to make sure I don't go too far off the edge?

Re: Hello..........................
We can talk here, out in the open where everyone can see. I don't know why you're trying to lure me into a dark corner alone to private message me. That's what you people do, I guess.
Let me tell you what's what, boy. You are a hellbound heathen and a security threat. You need to get right with God and stop spewing nonsense. Forget all that un-Biblical gibberish you just posted and pick up a KJV 1611 Bible. Read it, live it. This is the ONLY way. All other paths lead to Hell.
Oh, and it's poor form to use God's favorite forum for the purposes of advertisement.

Re: Hello..........................
You do realize that the entire concept of religion itself is technically a cult right? How we organize ourselves is what sets us apart from nature which is how we've created cities and the internet by which we are discussing now.
If you want to discuss cults, feel free to private message me so we can have a debate on what a cult actually is.

Sounds like you're trying to recruit members for a cult. Well, you're not getting ME drugged out on LSD so you can sodomize me and steal my wallet!
Are these your role models?

Hello..........................
Hello, my names Michael, I’m 27 years old and I’d like to try something a bit different than the standard church organization. We can do real good in this world if we organize ourselves properly. This thought would also bring all those who frequently attend church to build a much stronger bond by being a real part of the community. It would also likely bring in those either on the fence of joining or people who don't yet feel God.
All I’m trying to do is improve the way we do things and church is just one of the avenues to do so. Imagine if everyday various sessions were held, community meals given full of cheap nutritional food grown and cooked by our local communities(perhaps even fellow members) yoga/a new style of physical fitness allowing for a healthier user base. Then there are the luxuries such as cars, housing and stuff. We could greatly improve every aspect of church to more than just attending sunday for “worship” because our faith in God is always, not just sunday and I think God would enjoy seeing us work together to improve not just our community but those less fortunate than us as well. We can produce more with less waste by being smart so we can help bring the rest of the world out of poverty. One step at a time.
If you’d like to hear more or provide input to this thought process please contact me! I hope we can help out those around us without forcing our beliefs down their throat because that’s just wrong. We are just a shoulder people can lean on and if they so happen to choose to embrace God as we do, then we’ll support them with open arms regardless of their faith. I believe this way we can get more people to believe in God because we’ll be showing that we do, in fact, care. With automation becoming the norm(for some reason it’s not being pursued to keep people working), we need to change the way we conduct ourselves in order to keep our faith alive.

If you contact me through these means I’m willing to exchange phone numbers in order for us to debate through live conversation.
