        What if i said "don't stop don't stop" i never said our lord wouldn't mind i said that i know it doesn't affect my desire to please and respect our lord.

          You claim you did not want to get raped yet you wear the clothing of a whore and the makeup of a slut. What is a decent man to think?
          Rapes do not just 'happen'.
          While I am sure you did not wake up wanting to get raped, I am sure as you showered that morning, thoughts of perversion came unto you as you lathered up, washing the filth that accumulated the night before. Dressing, instead of demure clothing, you decided to be 'fetching'.

          Your failure to accept responsibility for your Free Will choices is very upsetting.

            Normally that's where I'd stop reading. But I'm also from a small town (not near Detroit, though) and know that when I was 18 I'd thought certain "dress styles" were no more than that. Older generations said, "Look at you walking around like that! What will people think!!" or sometimes, "You you only dress like that to attract attention," which wasn't true because everywhere we went everyone shopped at the same places. Nevertheless we could see their point, trying our best to see their point of view (which was virtually impossible) and continued with the fluorescent velvet corkscrew hats as you can tell we were probably not described as goths.

            Then you wrote something interesting. You differentiated between ancient Goths and modern goth fashion or culture if you prefer and I'll accept that because if "culture" is defines as "ideas and objects" then clothes are definitely objects and therefore a part of culture. I couldn't quite make out from your profile pic., are you wearing some sort of moleskin trousers or leggings? Whether you wear black or green & orange zigzags is immaterial to me but God does have one comment here:

            By the time I was 18, I have no idea where I was living but one thing is certain: I was not thinking about Jesus at all. Nobody I met attended a Church or even mentioned their existence. Initially a few of us (3) had moved into premises next door to three student teachers (who never mentioned God or Jesus either) and I've forgotten what I was going to write next ..anyway, some of us may have gotten tattoos around then or similar and clearly none of us followed anything to do with God. There is only one source for God's understanding of the world He made, even though people will say, "No there isn't, there's lots of sources: the upanishads, the Vedic hymns, the analects of Confucius, totem poles, dancing around bonfires in a trance, sikhism, Zoroastrianism, toadstools, yoga.." and on and on but that can't be true because they all contradict one another. And God described the whole bunch of us very well in Ephesians. I'm glad you chose a verse from that encouraging letter!
            Ephesians 4:18-19 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

            The only source of information recorded about what God requires and what He did to set us free is The Bible. When someone says they have an insight from God but what they say next contradicts The Bible, we know that their insight has not come from God. And no matter how vile I may have been, whether or not i'd tattooed myself all over or wore a bone through my nose or dressed inappropriately and pranced around like an idiot (I know goths don't do much prancing, but you get the idea) eventually The Truth dawned on me, explained by God, right there in The Bible all along.
            Philippians 3:20-21 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

                No it's not. There's nothing wrong with the current one which has the benefit of being complete. Other extempore attempts at new material had catastrophic outcomes (just look around) almost universally. Perhaps there's one done last week out there that hasn't had time to affect anything yet but the track record is abysmal by any standard..

                What has this to do with Alyssa's introduction?
