Would you involve law enforcement if you saw a man poised with a dagger at the throat of his son? Because then you would be interfering with The Lord's Will in teaching an important lesson.

    Genesis 22: 1-19
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Issac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Issac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Issac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. And Issac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Issac his son, and laid him on the alter upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

The opinions I gave weren't opinions. They were statements from the Bible, only put simply so certain people could understand them. I'm not sure which Bible you're reading...a children's one, perhaps?
Much of what you have written has been your opinion on different matters including your take on the Bible. You have also attempted to be glib and clever regarding the whole Furry issue.
As for the other, I could post until my fingers bled
That's hyperbole, used to cast yourself in the role of the long-suffering hero enduring slings and arrows.
. . . go over the Bible with you word-for-word,
But you haven't gone over the Bible word-for-word, have you? Not for yourself, not in an attempt to live it out in your daily life.
and even make crayon drawings so you could understand everything, but it wouldn't matter so why should I bother?
Friend, you are the one defending the practice of dressing up in plush toy animal costumes, and you are trying to imply that we are the childish ones in this exchange?
You and most people here seem intent on misquoting the Bible,
Misquoting? No. We are directly quoting the actual words and it appears to be making you unhappy.
. . . twisting meanings and parables so that they fit into your own agenda,
Every new flavor of Christianity invented in the past two millennia starts with that accusation. "You guys are wrong and we're right because the Bible really says . . ."
to do whatever you want in life and think you won't have to answer to God, but in the end you will.
This is you, basically admitting that you can't make an effective stand for your ideas by drawing from the actual Bible so it's time to say, "Sic 'em, Jesus! Go get those meanies who are making me look stupid." If only The Lord would oblige you by sending some (non-Furry) animals:

    2 Kings 2:23-24

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood and tare forty and two children of them.

If you truly read the Bible you'd know this.
We have read the Bible, which is what is frustrating you to no end. And before I leave you, I would like to share the words written by a man who was committed to The Lord and the service of His church.

    1 Corinthians 13:11

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

You're the one who hasn't been quoting any Bible.

None of the True Christians™ have a problem with the "thee"s and "thou"s of the KJV, so whip out the 1611 Authorized if you want to. Several can go even back to the Koine, Hebrew, and Aramaic of the source materials, if you really want to get academic.

You want to claim the True Christians™ don't follow the Bible? Fine, cite the specific verse, and explain how they violate it. Don't "well, the Bible says..." and then only give us your flawed paraphrase of a semi-forgotten passage and mumblings from some apologetic who denies what basic English words mean.

The people here are not asking for crayon drawings, they are asking for Bible verses. If you are a Christian that should be your source. I can make some pretty nice crayon drawings by the way, handmaiden makes some nice art too.

Thank you for your attempt to make a rational post. I will now assess it. I have enough respect for you to be sincere and not give false praise. For instance, this first part is just ad misericordiam, appeal to pity. I do appreciate your technical problems but they are no substitute for evidence.
I haven't changed my mind on not judging others. I'm not sure where you got that.
We got it from the Bible.

    John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
The hypocrite behavior I see is people getting infractions for saying certain words, deemed 'potty language', yet I've seen posts and threads containing words more vulgar than I'd ever use.
You need to go to those particular posts and comment there as it is not possible to assess this claim of yours based on just hearsay.
The moderators seem okay with some people using those words but not others. There's even a small avator that some people have here that shows a dancing bottom even though a lot of people here preach modesty and think nudity is for perverts and gays.
Once again, this is situational. You are welcome to go to the specific posts and post your rebuttals there. We'll be happy to see you discuss these things further.
It only asked for a favorite Bible verse, not a story.
This is just another ad misericordiam. You have engaged in discussion after that so it is just common decency that your posts are being replied to.
I only mentioned Furries because someone asked about it. Being a Furry is fun. I don't know what you guys do for fun, but I need something more than baking bread and apple pies.
This is an appeal to emotion and personal authority once more. If something is fun, it does not mean that it is not evil. In fact, and as cited previously, Jesus is not about fun but about hating one's life,

    Luke 14:26
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

You also need to assess the Zephaniah verse instead of re-stating your opinion about furries without external verification.
You might find the fact that someone is a Furry disturbing, but I find a lot of the threads/posts here disturbing. I ignore them though and don't say a word. If someone doesn't like my posts or threads they could do the same. I'm not making anyone read anything.
I usually try to make the world a better place by tackling the issues that I find disturbing. One of these things is the lack of education i logic and epistemology. I try to do more than just turn my head. You could do the same and persuade us about your opinions by finding evidence for them.
The posts I'm talking about, by the way, are posts about people hitting their kids with straps and other impliments...even into adulthood.
It is totally OK if you go on and post your rebuttals on the threads that contain these posts.
I even saw a thread saying women shouldn't be on the internet and that theyre stupid. I've met plenty of stupid guys in my time, believe me, and guys are just as bad as women when it comes to wasting time on the internet.
This is just another tu queque. Look above for explanation.
And if law enforcement were to see the posts about men trying to sell their 11-year daughters to grown men, well, I guess this site would be done and the posters in jail.
A new fallacy, ad baculum, appeal to fear. This is replacing evidence and logic by intimidation. Just because a truth may have repercussions does not make it false. The Truth value™ and the ethics of an issue are separate. They often need to be discussed both but they are not the same thing.
It's like this forum was created by the Taliban instead of followers of God.
Yes! Guilt by association! Hitler. Stalin. Pol Pot. The inquisition! Luciano Pavarotti! North Korea! The Mafia! Penicillin would work even if it had been discovered by the present Pope.
It is interesting hearing people's different points of view on various subjects, but I swear you guys would contradict an Archbishop.
Please elaborate on this. Why would it be in any way wrong to contradict an archbishop if (s)he/they did not present good evidence?

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

Though it would be Biblically correct? Don't you, as a Christian, want to live under God's law?

...but I swear you guys would contradict an Archbishop.
OF COURSE THEY WOULD. He's a Catholic (or Anglican or other sort of heretic), and therefore wrong, according to these people (and the King James Bible they follow).

Thank you, dear, for introducing our readers with yet another fallacy, poisoning the well. With the "I'm not going to bother" you just (in advance) reject all our arguments without looking at the actual content. Hitherto, your posts have consisted of personal opinions and unsupported scenarios and now you seem upset because that strategy has failed to provide you with the kudos that people expect to gain from such un-discussion. Please show me that my assessment is wrong by engaging in actual scrutiny of evidence. Jesus knew about illogical arguments and compared them to venom, as seen below, and I have no reason to contradict Him.

    Psalms 140:3
They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.

The second sentence is just another ad hominem combined with a straw man (a novel fallacy for you - making a hypothetical scenario about us and attacking it instead of our actual arguments). I can actually image quite a few instances where I would contradict most Catholics, including their archbishops, as from our point of view they represent a twisted view on the one and only source of God's Will that we have, the Bible. But I would still look at their evidence and arguments and discuss them.

I'd be thrilled if you proved me wrong and, as stated above, produced an actual reply containing some actual evidence material. Is it possible that your failure to convince us about your viewpoints is not totally our fault? (No, this is not a possibiliter, I allow you to make your case and present it in a rational manner and your might surprise us if you just "bother")

    Yours in Christ,

Hilarious? Once again, you've stumbled upon a fallacy, this is the ad ridiculum. It is fallacious, as a claim can be true regardless of its ability to make you laugh. Atheist scientists may find the notion of resurrection hilarious or ridiculous but the proof for it is not in its emotional content but evidence. Instead of having fun you might think about your cognitive tools, your epistemology, how do you know what you believe. In fact, you might notice that we do not give you viewpoints but actual information about what the Bible says, the book that is as true in its content as Jesus. Like someone here calling someone else perverted, sick, etc. when they should make sure they're not doing perverted or sick themselves first.
Again, can you be more specific? Do you have any reason for suggesting that someone engaged in this thread is also engaged in practices that meet the standard of perversion? Can you cite a Biblical source that establishes such a standard? Remember that your personal tastes in a particular area does not constitute a valid argument.

So, you have a favorite Bible story but you didn't mention it in your initial introduction thread. The clearly posted instructions request that you tell us your favorite Bible verse. You didn't even mention a Bible verse at all until your third post in this thread. You mentioned knitting and your aspirations as writer but not the Bible. At one point, we got an earful about Furries. Then later, we read this:

Yes, I find most people here in the Forum inturpret the Bible very strangely, if not downright crazy.
Your "finding" is that our interpretation of the Bible is "crazy", but at least we are engaged in examining issues through a Biblical lens. Your primary lens is your own opinion.

'Hell' comes from the Anglo Saxon word 'Hades', which means 'unknown realm' or 'the world below'. It's basically a place for disembodied spirits. The word 'Hades' changed to 'Hell' when Greeks converted to Christianity.
Your mention of an Anglo Saxon word indicates that your source here is not Biblical, but at least it is more substantial than your own theorizing about other people here and whether or not they may be hypocrites.

There are different levels of Hades/Hell, but Fire and eternal torment was never mentioned.
Find me a verse, please. Find any Bible source
    , remembering your earlier statement:
    My source is the Bible.
and try to make this stick.
This makes sense, to me anyway. I couldn't imagine a loving God sending someone to Hell for all eternity for a minor infraction like stealing a candy bar.
This is your true source--what makes sense to you, what you can imagine and your personalized concept of what makes a loving God.

You might go to Heaven if you've accepted Jesus,
This statement above reveals a lack of faith in God's Word. . .
but I suppose it's correct in saying that not everyone goes to Heaven, not straight away at least. . .
Some people who die haven't found God or Jesus so will have to roam the earth as spirits until Christ's return.
And these statements demonstrate a lack of knowledge.

At last we come to this final declaration:

Some viewpoints I find interesting, some are disturbing, and some are downright hilarious.
The viewpoints generally being expressed here are that the Bible says what it says, not what we want it to say based on some half-attended exposure to it.

Can you explain what is "disturbing" about this concept? Then please read Judges, chapter 19, and perhaps Deuteronomy 22: 28, 29. Feel free to finish your perusal of the Bible with Hosea 13:16. Then we can discuss which viewpoints offered in this thread meet your standard for "disturbing".

Please note: I am not going to post the actual Bible passages for you here, because I feel that it is very important that you (finally?) pick up a Bible and read it for yourself.

I wish you well in this endeavor.

    Hi Shadoe,

I put some in bold. I find those parts a bit confusing. First you state that I judge myself, then you mentioned the pain I caused others and how awful a person I am are the relevant factors for my fate. This seems very subjective. I do not believe I am awful and if I get to judge myself I would be .

If you would ask any True Christian™ on this forum they would probably say I caused them great pain. Not physical pain but it hurts them that I have been unable to find Jesus as of yet.

As you see, those two positions contradict. How do you think that could be solved if not by just reading the Bible and see where Peter would send me if I show up at the Gates? Matthew 16:18-19
