praying without ceasing, well, this can cause some awkward moments. Praying while being on the toilet comes to mind. Without being vulgar, there are noises and odors and things that would be very distracting when trying to pray. It almost seems blasphemous to pray at such a time!

Brother Elmer only prays on the toilet because he is a European. Everyone knows that Europeans wouldn't be able to go to the bathroom without touching their tallywhackers if they didn't keep their hands occupied in prayer. Here in America, we have more self-control than Europeans do, so praying in the bathroom is optional, except, of course, for seniors, who need all the help they can get in there.
