I'll quote a passage from the bible that I did earlier:

Matthew 10:34-36:
34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Is that really the kind of god you'd want to follow if you love peace? Just wondering.

It's hard to say why, but He's definitely against human-made representational art.
Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

God is very jealous. In fact, He even states His name is Jealous. So, if He's an artist, it stands to reason He wouldn't want humans muscling in on his pitch.
