I always skip all the begat parts. It's a little slow reading. Is that a sin?
Matthew: 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled 10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Brother Mayfield! You do remember how your cousin ended up, right? It would be a terrible shame for you to go the same way.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
Note to self: read the entire Bible, skip nothing. It seems that even lineage is important. I'll keep that in mind.
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke 4:4
As for lineage, oh yes it is!
The Lord abhors certain races and people, and he has no love for bastards either: A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; Even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. Deuteronomy 23:2
So now you see why the demoncratic agenda of destroying the family is so dangerous?
When they have destroyed marriage, nobody can be saved, and satan will rule the earth.
It must never be allown to happen!
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it. A foolish woman is clamorous: She is simple, and knoweth nothing. Proverbs 9:12-13
Well I guess you used a plastic Jesus to "clean out" your nasty filthy butt and will now no longer allow members of the of the same sex to penetrate you there.
Well, just remember that Jesus offers a wide variety of "carrots and sticks" to fullfil your desires.
.
I am on the adventure of a lifetime! This is even better than the time I used the plastic stones!

Umm...Thanks. P.S. Nobody has answered my post here
I began reading the Bible last night for about a half an hour. I am at Genesis 3.
Great start!
I suggest you keep a notepad with you as you read. Take notes on particular events, actions of God, statements of doctrine, etc. Include your own thoughts on what this teaches you about who God is. See how different events interrelate.
It's a wonderful learning tool! When you're finished, you'll have your very own Bible commentary, which you can refer to and add to regularly.
