Please quote from the one true Bible only on our forum. False versions are for false Christians like yourself.

The actual verse you were attempting to quote is:

Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

To which I reply: That verse refers to our fellow True Christians(tm), not false Christians such as yourself. You cannot be my brother, because you are not washed in His blood.

We are commanded to rebuke and correct, using scripture as our tool. That's what we are trying to do here.

There is a WORLD of difference between the reasoning of an infant and an eight year old child.

Please explain the difference as it pertains to an eight year old's cognitive ability to comprehend the Majesty of God's Divine Plan of Salvation(c) for us all.

The average eight year old can't even read the Bible, much less understand it. Being Saved(c) isn't something to be taken lightly.

So in other words, this site is NOT extreme but you and ONLY you know how old a person should be in order to receive the gift of salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ (the Bible does NOT specify an age) and you know that ONLY your "church" is correct and other churches are "false Christian churches" and anyone who talks about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is a Gypsy or a "dreamy teenager". (What about 'John, the disciple Jesus loved'...the bible CLEARLY calls him that--John 13:23...Jesus even gave John charge over his mother as he was dying on the cross--John 19:26.)

The churches I have attended all my life have taken ALL of their teachings and ALL of their doctrine directly from the Bible. I don't know what Bible YOU have been reading, but I take what I know about God from the Bible.

You can have your "Godly forum.". I have other things to do with my time.

It involves the heart, soul and mind. For most people, these are commonly understood via the personality - hence why the relationship, for the most part, is a deeply ‘personal’ one. Perhaps you are right in thinking that this is not enough, and partly explains why your members rail against those they see who are in the throes of dreamy teenage love affairs with Jesus. Still, is it obedience that Jesus is talking about here?

That is indeed one type of relationship described. There are others; you might say they don’t contradict each other, but many see problems in the type of relationship you just mentioned. How do you reconcile them? It is a tall order.

That's the only relationship I've seen described in my years of reading the Bible. If you see others, such as this "brother on equal footing" nonsense so many New Age Christian-Lite types toss out, I'd be more than happy to stand corrected . . .

The relationship described in the Bible between us and God is supplicant/servant and all-powerful Creator and Master, not "brother" or "pal". We are to obey; that is our role.

That is indeed one type of relationship described. There are others; you might say they don’t contradict each other, but many see problems in the type of relationship you just mentioned. How do you reconcile them? It is a tall order.

P.S. I accepted Christ in 1975 when I was 8 years old in the First Baptist Church of Whitney, Texas. I currently attend the Connection Church, which is an Assembly of God church here in my area, but I was a member of the Baptist General Conference when I was a kid and young adult. I love the Baptist General Conference. Really, really good people.

Angie, an 8 year old girl hasn't got the brains nor the discernment to be truly Saved(tm). It sounds to me like your father took you all to a false Christian church, one of those SBC "baptism mills" where all they want is your money.
