Re: Lazytown, pedophilia sex show.
let me clarify, I'm not trying to say that you are absolutely positively wrong in your religious beliefs. I believe that your god and mine are one and the same. I do, however, denouce the idea that christianity has always existed and since the beginning of time (6000 years ago) when there is clear evidence to the contrary. I feel like I'm having an argument about whether or not grass is actually green, when you can clearly see that it is.

Re: Lazytown, pedophilia sex show.
There is not a single statement there that proves that the earth is only 6000 years old in my opinion. Lets just say that you’re right for a second, that the whole world was flooded in the genesis days. What indication is there that these events were merely 6000 years ago?
What about the fact that there is documented history of humanity before 6000 years ago? Like in China, and Mesopotamia and Egypt, and South America?
I just don’t understand how people can insist on this 6000 year thing to be the truth, and then not offer up any concrete sceintific evidence to support it.

Yeah I have. Remind me. When did that form? Was it durning the the Missoula Floods during the Pleistocene era? 1.8 million years ago? The international Commission of Straitagraphy has confirmed the time period as the pleistocene

Carbon dating is perfect?
Ever heard of the scablands? Great floods can carve out the landscape very quickly.

Re: Lazytown, pedophilia sex show.
The London hammer argument??? First of all, I am familiar with this artifact, and its not a solid fossil. Its stone and mineral with small fragments of fossil in 1985 NCSE researcher John Cole reviewed the hammer. Cole pointed out that minerals dissolved from ancient strata could harden around a recent object, stating: The stone is real, and it looks impressive to someone unfamiliar with geological processes. How could a modern artifact be stuck in Ordovician rock? The answer is that the concretion itself is not Ordovician. Minerals in solution can harden around an intrusive object dropped in a crack or simply left on the ground if the source rock (in this case, reportedly Ordovician) is chemically soluble (Cole, 1985). Cole also noted that the hammer is of "recent American historic style," and concluded that it was probably a 19th century miner's hammer.
Full scientific examination of the hammer has not been done because creationist Carl E. Baugh has been in possession of it since its discovery and refuses to allow extensive testing.
In order to claim the hammer as a reliable out-of-place artifact, one would need either
1. Convincing documentation that the hammer was once naturally embedded in an ancient rock formation, or
2. Independent scientific evidence indicating a problematic age for the hammer
So far neither has been provided. The lack of evidence for the first condition has already been acknowledged in creationist accounts. Independent evidence for the hammer's age could be gleaned from a number of methods, including Carbon 14 dating on the wooden handle. If there was no appreciable amount of C14 in it (beyond expected residual contamination) it would imply the hammer was more than 50,000 years old, and if younger than that, C14 could help pinpoint its actual However, for years Baugh refused to allow the hammer to be C14 dated. In an exchange of letters between creationist Walter Brown and Jim Lippard in Creation/Evolution, Brown (1989) suggested that the hammer handle has not been dated because Baugh had three "understandable" conditions for dating it: that it be done with mass spectrometry, that Baugh be present during the dating, and that someone else pay for it. However, Lippard countered that no one has objected to the first two conditions, and that Baugh had no right to expect the third, since he's the one making the claims, and thus the one obligated to back them up. Even so, even after others offered to pay for the dating, Baugh declined to have it done. As Day (1991) wrote in a follow up letter: "Far from being 'understandable,' Baugh's stipulations seem to be little short of evasive tactics... If four years have gone by and nothing has happened, I think it is safe to conclude that Baugh has no interest whatsoever in determining the truth about his marvelous hammer."

Fossils? Explain how a modern hammer was found in a fossil.Originally posted by Mechanix View PostAccording to the book of Exodus, Moses was born in a time when war threatened and the large increase in the number of his people concerned the Pharaoh who was worried that they might help Egypt's enemies. 1391 BCE.
and Jesus himself was born in the 1st Century CE (book of mathew). how can a religion based on the life and death of a man exist if that man hasn't lived and died yet? if the 4th century is the beginning of time, then Christ was born, lived and died before the beginning of time. I've studied Christian Dogma as well as Antrhopology and history.
furthermore, there are many things in this world that we can see and touch that existed before the 4th Century. how about fossils? were they put in the earth to trick us? If so then youre using devil juice in your car every day. FOSSILS prove that the dawn of man was aprx 6 million years ago. History proves that there were people on this planet long before the 4th Century CE. how is it that we destinguish between BCE and CE (known in the Christian world as BC 'before Christ" and AD " anno domini, latin for "year of our lord") if time began in the 4th Century???
And to answer the question of why I registered here, which I already explained, a friend of mine who frequents these boards (a much more down to earth, tolerant Chrisitan) told me about the pagan bashing going on here. I felt a need to respond to a group slamming my people

Re: Lazytown, pedophilia sex show.
Despite your ignorant rant, you managed to get the age of the earth right.Christianity didn't become a dominant religion until the 4th Century.Man wasn't created until the sixth day. That's the earliest that he would have been able to worship God.(and don't quote the bible at me, telling me that chrisitanity has always existed and people have always worshipped the concept of God since the beginning of time.Is this like a chicken/egg debate?its a proven fact that the earth and humanity existed before the Bible.

Re: Lazytown, pedophilia sex show.
Such as yourselfWhat I do care about is people who preach but actually have no idea what they're talking about.
The earth and the universe isnt hunderds of thousands of years old, smart ass. So I happily wipe my behind with that argument. To say that pagans worship satan is completely ridiculous. Most pagan faiths predate Chrisianity by thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of years.
Well, let us assume that it is only a Christian concept, then I as a Christian will tell you that all pagans are devil worshippers. Perhaps they dont know this themselves, but here you go, I just informed you with the facts.Satan is a Christian concept, having nothing to do with paganism
And dont tell me it isnt true, you said you are not a Christian and according to you satan is a Christian concept, so let me put your own words back in your mouth: "What I do care about is people who preach but actually have no idea what they're talking about."
There you go
The rest of your post is alot of bladibla with irrelevant information, so i'll just leave you with this.
Besides, why sign up here to just come put some nonsense about Pagans here? Like we care! :-X
With warm regards,

This is BLASPHEMY!
I don't normally do this sort of thing, but a friend of mine told me about the pagan bashing going on here and I had to reply. I've never seen this show, nor do I care. What I do care about is people who preach but actually have no idea what they're talking about.
To say that pagans worship satan is completely ridiculous. Most pagan faiths predate Chrisianity by thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of years. Satan is a Christian concept, having nothing to do with paganism.
To say that all pagans are devil worshipers that are going to hell is to say that all people who lived before the rise of christianity went to hell. Christianity didn't become a dominant religion until the 4th Century. (and don't quote the bible at me, telling me that chrisitanity has always existed and people have always worshipped the concept of God since the beginning of time. its a proven fact that the earth and humanity existed before the Bible. The old testament is dated to somewhere between the 2nd and 12th Century BCE)
We pagans believe that all concepts of the devine are one and the same. what you call Yaweh/Jahova/God, We refer to by many names, both masculine and feminine (because the universe is abound with many forces relating to both)
Also, someone mentioned vikings and thier history of pillaging and raping Christians. if we're going to bring ancient history into the mix, lets look at the record of Christianity. First of all, the chruch was responsible for conversion at the point of a sword for a millenium. pagan cultures from the Celts back in the beginning of the common era, all the way to the Native Americans in the American colonial times have had Christianity forced on them. to make conversion "easier" most Christian holidays are based on pagan beliefs and placed around the same time of year. (example: Christmas is practiced to be the birthdate of Christ. on December 25th. The pagan Sabbat of Yule falls on the Winter Solstice and is a Celtic celebration of the birth of the god of the harvest)
I'm not calling modern Chrisitans to account for these actions, I'm just pointing out facts. I feel that Jesus Christ was a great teacher with a strong point about loving your fellow man. I just wish more christians would follow his example. Hate mongering is not at all what Jesus had in mind (forgiveness of a prisoner, remember that one??)
I'll just leave you all with this. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"Tags: None
