Hi! I have just discovered this website. I do not know if you accept Wiccans to be on said forum or not. I figured I would try so as to get a better understanding of why I am so hated by so many that do not know me. I do not wish to debate or cause too much of a stir. As I have already seen other "Wiccans" on this site seem to seek quiet a bit of attention.

Re: Merry Meet!
I'm not sure if this was covered in the very lengthy Wiccan discussion, but I would like to point out a very important fact...
Despite its claims that it arose out of a pagan witch cult that has survived in Europe for thousands of years (The Catholic Church and the Protestant Reformation did a mighty good job stamping out any embers of heresy), Wicca as a religion was founded by Gerald Gardner in the early 1950's. Gerald Gardner, of course, was a disciple of well-known Satanist Aleister Crowley. As a matter of fact, even if Wiccan apologists deny it, much of the rites and rituals performed were not written by Gardner himself but by Crowley.
Wicca has its very roots in the thought of Aleister "To Mega Therion 666 (The Great Beast 666)" Crowley.

Re: Merry Meet!
I do not personally follow the Garderian path. There are many paths in the Wiccan religion I am sure you do not care just a fun fact.
I write my own rites and rituals. I do not follow Aliester Crowley's rituals in any way shape or form.
Thank you for your input Rev. It was educational in what people outside of Wicca think and believe.I can't do good by you people! So I give up I tried your way for change, it sucked. So now back to my way.

Re: Merry Meet!
Young lady, you seem very polite and a good person deep down. I believe you've just been led astray by Satan using the temptation of witchcraft. Now, it doesn't matter who writes your rites and rituals, be it Crowley or yourself, the Bible makes it clear what happens to those who do so.Originally posted by Butterfly View Post

Do you realize that as much as you think your witchcraft is "harmless" (I've even met people claim they are "white witches") God does not see it that way? God commands for you to be stoned to death for these horrible acts! And once you are dead you live in eternity in burning Hell.Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
Leviticus 20:27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
1st Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
This is why I am warning you. I would hate to see another soul lost, rather I would prefer you to reject your witchcraft, confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior. Jesus Christ died for you so that you may have eternal life.

Re: Merry Meet!
Thank you Rev. it would seem that you are a good person deep down as well!
However I am not tempted by witchcraft. You can practise Wicca without performing any magic at all. I find true peace in my spiritual path not magic.
Good sir I believe in reincarnation. When I die i believe I will go to the Summerland and await my time to be reincarnated back to the Earth to learn more life lessons that are needed in order to stop the continous cycle of reincarnation and sit side by side with my makers.
Do not fear for my eternal soul for I think I am doing okay.

Re: Merry Meet!
Butterfly, the problem is everything you speak of is in direct contradiction with what the Bible teaches us is necessary for eternal life. I hate to tell you, but you won't be going to Summerland....oh it'll be warm, very warm, that's for sure.
I don't see how you can practice Wicca without doing spells and rituals. Can you explain yourself?
Lastly, it doesn't matter if "you think you are doing okay" because you don't decide the fate of your soul. God does. God will decide if you are doing okay and by staying on this path you are on now, it doesn't look good in your favor. It doesn't matter how "good it feels" or if it feels "spiritually fulfilling"...those are just tricks Satan uses to ensare his victims. If you want to feel something REALLY GOOD, accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior!

Re: Merry Meet!
Practising Wicca without magic.
Just as you pray to your god so do I pray to mine. Without magic.
Just as you celebrate holidays that have significant purpose in your beliefs as do I. Without magic.
Just as you ask for guidance from your god, I do as well. Without magic.
Rev. you do not have to be a witch to be Wiccan or Wiccan to be a witch.
I can't do good by you people! So I give up I tried your way for change, it sucked. So now back to my way.

Re: Merry Meet!
Assuming you are correct in what you say, you are still in violation of God's law. One of the ten commandments clearly states that you should not have any gods before God. Also this verse in Isaiah...
As a wiccan, do you pray to the Horned One?Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Re: Merry Meet!
They might pray to those things to, Brother Nobar. I do know that the "Horned One" is in their pantheon which is clearly just another name for Satan. He goes by many names: The Devil, Mephistopheles, Lucifer, King of Darkness, Horned One, etc.
I think they also pray to plants and birds and rocks and things.

Re: Merry Meet!
Merrily Met, Butterfly, and welcome to the forum.
I would like to thank you for your posts. This may sound strange, but very often n00bs' posts are fraught with grammatical errors, including ridiculous punctuation (or none at all), and atrocious spelling. Yours, on the other hand, are easy to read (and enjoyable) and one can clearly tell that you're a polite, well spoken, intelligent person and that you put thought into your responses before typing them. So, thank you.
I would also like to apologize ahead of time for the Landoverites. I know, they haven't been mean yet, but there will be those who, out of enthusiasm for their religion and concern for you, are slightly less polite. Don't take it personally, they just get swept up in the excitement they have for their beliefs and the eagerness they have for sharing said excitement tends to run away with them.
P.S.
To those Landoverites who have been nice, and who will continue the niceness, I would like to thank you also. It's great to see you share your beliefs in such a civil way, it makes me really happy (and quite proud of you actually), and things are just much smoother and more comfortable when everyone's getting along, even if they're not necessarily agreeing. This space is reserved for posting KJV Scripture ONLY. --ADMIN

Re: Merry Meet!
Very nice to meet you, Butterfly (what a beautiful name! Butterflies are so pretty!)
Personally, I am a Christian though not a member of the Landover Baptist Church, though I am very good friends with them. In my church, we often go on spiritual retreats into the woods and invite people of all religions, including wiccans, to come along. We sit around the campfire and sing kumbya, holding hands and praising whatever deities we may (or not, you know, if praying's not your thing we totally accept that) before we strip naked and express our divine love by having a orgy. It really brings you so close to Christ (or whatever God/whatever you do or do not worship).
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
