    Re: Hello from a Catholic

Holy Mother Church, what in the world is a Holy Mother Chruch? Not that I really care, it just struck me as odd, to call a Church on of a "Holy Mother" I pretty sure that I worship and follow a Holy Father, my KJV Bible tells me that, from Genesis to Revelation, I havn't ever read anything about a Holy Mother...

      Re: Hello from a Catholic

Oh joy! A good ol' Catholic bash! While we're on topic, here's another anti-Biblical viewpoint of the papist church: Worshipping Mary. Of course, they always say "Well we don't worship her. We venerate her. We pray to her as a mediator between us and God."

Like many of the official tenets of the Papist Church, it is against the Bible...

      1st Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1st Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Doesn't get any simpler than that. One man. One God. One mediator.

"Hail Mary" is nothing but a pagan mother goddess poem.

No Holy Mother, but there is a "Queen of Heaven" mentioned in the Bible. Funny how Catholics like to refer to Mary with that epithet. Of course the Queen of Heaven mentioned in the Book of Jeremiah is nothing more than a false pagan idol!

Jeremiah 7:18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

Catholics confuse me, and give me a headache. To aleviate that issue, why don't we do everything we can to convert those who believe falsely to the way we believe, which is Right and True?

The problem isn't just Catylicks. Muslims, Joos, and all those other hoo-ha religions all believe their false scriptures as strongly as we believe in Christianity. The only difference is, we're right.

Can you believe? Those turban heads think that WE are the heretics. They think WE are the ones going to hell. They believe in their koran to the very last word and swear by it, without even realizing that every single word in it is wrong.

Deary me, I would think you would ask your revered Pope Benedict XVI this question - the German born pope that in an interview broadcast on a Swedish television channel, had denied the existence of the Nazi gas chambers and said he believed that no more than 300,000 Jews died in the Holocaust rather than the accepted figure of 6 million.

Benedict opposed the war in Iraq, rejects the death penalty, denounces the excesses of capitalism and focuses strongly on helping the poor and immigrants. In 2006, he enflamed Muslims in a speech in which he quoted a Byzantine emperor as calling Islam "evil and inhuman." The pope later apologized, saying that his words were misunderstood and pledging a focused interfaith dialogue with Muslims, which began in 2008.

And you call US crazy? You'd be better off joining that cult that worships a plate of pasta.

That's the sign of a bad religion. It says in the Bible that in order to be Saved you must BELIEVE and be baptized. That involves making a concious decision. Babies don't have the capability of making that decision. Therefore, the "baptism" of the baby is null and void!
True Christians, on the otherhand, make the decision to be Saved, and are then baptized.
You're the one going to Hell, unless you give up catholicism and devote your life to God (for real, this time)

That's not true, every single bit of what we believe in can be validated by the Bible (mostly because the Bible never explicitly states it is the sole source of doctrine...)
