  • Greetings, in the name of our beloved Father

Praise be unto the LORD, for I have finally found a community of like minded brethren! My name is David, but I'm not a Jew, tho I was named for King David of ancient Israel and forefather of our LORD and savior Jesus Christ.

I greet you, and I seek fellowship and mentoring from those wise in the LORD and in His Word. I know that only through study and prayer can I move from milk and bread to the meat of the Word.

I look forward to being in you company until Jesus returns and gathers us all to our reward in Heaven!

Your most humble servant in Christ,
    -David (not a Jew)

Thank you for the warm welcome, all!

As for marriage I have followed the teachings of the Apostle Paul in I Corinthians Chapter 7 "It is good for a man not to touch a woman" and "For I would that all men were even as I myself". By fleeing from lustful sin daily, I seek to remain a pure bride of Christ, tho the concept of being a "bride" is somewhat awkward, myself being a man.

And yes, I do hope to sire little soldier for Christ, but through planting the seed of the Word rather than that of the flesh. I do dearly love my sisters in Christ, but in a chaste way

Oh -- "David" is a name of Hebrew origin. Some people have mistaken me for being a Jew due to the name. So I desire that people know that I am of God's chosen people through the adoption of being grafted into the tree of Christ, rather than from a false claim of Hebrew birthright.

Welcome to God's Favorite Forum(tm), David. It is very good that you are adamant that you are not a Jew. I would hate for anybody to constantly think I am one of them.

Thank you! And indeed, I cringe at the very thought that someone might mistakenly associate me with those who slaughtered the Lamb of God.

Sadly, not the knights that say "ni". Tho they do have some rudimentary humor, I find them a bit creepy as they remind me of the Nephilm and other Giants spoken of in Genesis and Jude.

                      Genesis 6:4
"The Nephilim were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown."

                      Jude 6
"And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."

A good general wrapup of such unnatural beings can be found here:

Hence the knees of which I speak come directly from Romans 14:11
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Thank you for the kind welcome! Sadly I am currenty without an "offline" church, as all that I have found have been watered down and corrupted with "feel good" and inclusion doctrine. Luckily I have finally found an "online" community here that takes a stand on TRUE Bible doctrine without the cafeteria style of just picking the "good" or politically correct parts

I found my TRUE faith one day as a child, when my parents wanted to take us kids out to dinner after church (I was, and they are still, Lutheran). When they suggested "Red Lobster", I was shocked. Did they not know that shellfish was an abomination unto the LORD? (Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14) At first I felt isolated and alone, but then I figured out why when I read Romans 9:22 - 24
22What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

23And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

24Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Hallelujah! I was not alone, but part of a special few who were created as a vessel of mercy. It saddened me that my family was going straight to Hell for their lust of forbidden food, but I knew then and there I was a special part of God's plan of mercy. Only 144,000 are going to make it, but I pray and live each day such that I may be one of those elect! Hopefully the experienced elders here can help guide me to complete a successful race for that crown of salvation

Re: Greetings, in the name of our beloved Father

Friend, our Lord has specifically abolished the joo dietary laws:

Acts 10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
Since sea creatures are not mentioned in that passage, we have no idea whether or not lobsters and shrimps have been cleansed in the blood of Jesus, so we avoid eating them. But God has definitely cleansed all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

Red Lobster makes a mean steak, fyi.
                        Who Will Jesus Damn?

Indeed, you are most wise, for I too have often pondered Peter's vision.

So when I find myself in such establishments in the normal daily course of life (being in the world, tho not of the world) I play it safe and place within this temple of the Holy Spirit a generous sacrifice of medium-well beef and plump potato fries -- giving thanks of course before partaking
