  • Save Me!

    Hello my friends.
My name is Eddie, I'm an ex-Roman Catholic from sunny England.
I found this forum totally by accident while reading up the Book of John. I'd only got to chapter 13 when it dawned on me I may need to rethink my position of worship(i don't wanna be drownded in dragon phlegm). A quick google of, "save me", landed me here.
I'm stuck now, there's a United Reformed Church nearby or The Presbyterian Fellowship. What should I do?
    Any thoughts most welcome.

    Peace, my brothers & sisters.

"And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines"
    1 Samuel 18:25

As Jenni said, welcome to God's favorite forum.

What church do you attend? What's your favorite verse from the Bible?

        Well thank you both.
My favouite passage from The Book is in my signiture, also Rev.14:3 ---> "And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth." (i want to be one of these saved)

I was a RC, now i'm here to find the right path. As I stated, I need to decide, and preferably before Sunday!

Brother Nobar, I think he meant he was doing Colt in the john and a sweaty flamer told him about Landover.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

                  Re: Save Me!

Welcome Edgar-Allan, I hope you will find your salvation.

                  Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
                  Jude 1:24-25

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

                    Re: Save Me!

While I welcome Edgar-Allen and encourage his perseverance in securing Salvation, I must point out the tragic reality of his plight.

As a former Papist, escaping the fiery pit of Hell will be extremely difficult. Such is the magnitude of the errors of the damned and damnable Catholic Church.

I might suggest that being officially excommunicated, preferably via the 'Bell, Book and Candle' rite would really be a good start. But please make sure your 'transgression' is specifically against the Catholic church, and not something that would result in your being damned here also.

Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.
