  • Hi

A very little intro about myself.

I am a Christian man that struggles with the validity of the Bible.
Saved at 17 and now 49 and still stumble with the bible.

I could go on but when I watched Zeitgeist I am perplexed to say the least.

      Re: Hi

At this stage in your life you should be searching for salvation and not questioning the glory of the Lord.

      Praise!
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

        Hi, Steve!

Didn't your Pastor tell you that you shouldn't question God's Word, and that you shouldn't read or watch things which will cause you to stumble in your faith?

What were you thinking, watching Poltergeist? That movie contains spiritualism and all kinds of false lies about the afterlife. And that creepy little Zelda Rubenstein, she gives me the shivers!

Did you at least ask your Pastor before watching it?

Maybe you'd do well to read a nice Bible story instead of filling your head with that nonsense.

You may also want to change your avatar. Tammy Faye Bakker may well have loved homosexuals and tried to promote churches helping people who went out and got themselves the AIDS through their sodomite deathstyle choice, but she was still a Christian who tried to help them find God, albeit misguided and probably headed for Hell.

          Re: Hi

I have heard about this "Zeigeist" movie. Fortunately it's really just some crackpot conspiracy movie saying outrageous things like Christianity is just compiled from other myths, that 9/11 was orchestrated by Bush, and a bunch of bankers are trying to take over the world. That film has been ripped apart by critics for its unsupported claims and lack of reference.

The film makes basic mistakes like claiming that Horus was the Egyptian sun god (it was Ra), among many others. I wouldn't let that film sway your opinion. Put your faith in the King James Bible.

I myself am offended by his avatar. Tammy Faye Bakker was a personal friend of mine. While we had our religious differences (and yes she is burning in Hell), she was a sweet woman and lit up the room with her personality. Heck, I was a silent partner in the deal between Jim and Tammy Faye and Paul & Jan Crouch to make Trinity Broadcasting Network back in '73!

Yea, my bad, that actually is rediculous for me ever think that.

As far as a Pastor, I only read the bible. Why would I take some other persons point of view?
My take, go back as far as you can and read that bible. Thank God I read Aramaic..lol

Jim may I call ya Jim? I mean no disrespect. It's easier to say Jim rather than Rev. Jim Osborne, just saying and I respectufly apologise if I mean any disrespect. Looking for bible verse brb.

What if I thought only good thoughts towards all people, would that be like a prayer?

Does the bible talk about vibrations? I need more teaching and thank God I came to the right place.

Sorry, probably my biggest sin would be my beer, not because I am drunk but I cant fit into my jeans, not that I would wear them...lol

Ok well my spelling is so bad now I need to remember how to spell reverend I think I almost have it, damn it, it slipped away. More prayers are in order. At this rate I will be doing more prayers that work. How do I slip in a little bit of masturbation...lol No way I just did it again...lol What a viscous circle, kind of like the run on sentence that I have now...lol

Thank you, Jenni. I didn't do 4 years of Bible College, and then completed advanced degrees (dual Ph.D. in Theology and Biblical Studies) for nothing!
