Nobody is perfect, so you can't just STOP sinning, but I do try my hardest to live the life the lord wants me to live, and when I do make a mistake I repent and receive forgiveness. I do not believe that standing in front of a group and reciting "magic words" does anything if you don't fully believe in what your saying.

So you believe that you can keep sinning after you get saved and still go to Heaven (Mt 7:21-23)? What does "repent" mean to you (Jn 8:11)? If we can't just stop sinning, then why did Jesus tell us to do so (Mt 5:48, I Jn 3:4-9)?

Do you not believe that humans have free will, so that we can freely choose to stop sinning and obey God?

No, in fact we DO have free will, but we cannot to choose to simply "stop sinning". No man is perfect, if we could stop sinning, we would be. We are to led God guide us, and do what his will be done, but no man is perfect.
