Re: Get to know me first!
Welsh must be the foulest language on Earth. Who the hell comes up with those kind of placenames? Their Welsh English isn't much to be proud of either...

So do I, I'd love to travel the world. I've been to a couple places though, like New Zealand, Australia, and Hong Kong. "Sinister Pizza" actually comes from something I found in New Zealand. There's a Pizza chain called Hell Pizza, and the Sinister is the vegan one. Never anywhere in Europe, but I'd really like to someday. Have you ever been to King's Cross station? lol, I tell everyone who I know who's going to England to try to walk through the wallWow. Nice to meet you "Sinister Pizza", lol. The UK is great, although I've never been to Wales... I wanna go though. I wanna travel the world! XD Tee hee. I live in NI, been to Scotland four times and England twice. Good times....

There are pictures, but no one worships them. No one kisses them. I doubt whether any one pays any attention to them (probably the first years though lol... poor n00bs- jk jk jk lol). But only because they're not used to seeing pics like that.
Just to save the rep of my beloved school, there aren't only religious pics around. The majority relate to plays and poems. Mainly photos of past school plays/musicals.

My sincere apologies. Darwinism isn't taught at my school. Some biology teachers may say "evolution", but the majority avoid the topic as 1) it's not on the course and 2) it's controversial [especially in such a pious school].

Cool. I didn't know Shannon meant "wise one"Shannon... meaning "wise one"
That's my middle name, that's pretty cool. My first name is too unheard of and original to say online though.
I'd love to go to the UK sometime, especially since I've got ancestry from all 4 of the countries in the UK. And that they film Potter in the UK
A question to the True Christians out there...just what IS the DOF? I've heard you talk about it before.

I wasn't claiming your school song was pagan, I was claiming that the pagan practise of worshipping idols was pagan. I notice you seem to be ducking the question about evilutionary biology, though.Originally posted by Born-Again Atheist View PostMy school is "pagan"? Pah. From where your great cliffs rise
Above the grey tumultuous wave
We picture Fergus stand
With far Agyle and Isla purple 'neath his eyes.
"The hero's praises sing we who upon these shores now dwell
Whence he adventuring sailed boldly to the purple north;
The Pictish heathen fell
Not fearing who so gaily forth
Bore earth's most precious thing,
Unknowing that he shared
Christ's conquest over hell.
"O Dalriadan Land!
Once to the North Christ's beacon light
Raised in Columba's hand
Amid the pagan dark to blaze
And triumph o'er the night;
As we your ancient glories praise,
Proud of your native strand,
We will uplift your splendid name
in all men's sight."

Yes, but there are plenty of schools that aren't like this, and that is what we Christians are fighting to eliminate. Also, all those idols covering your school sound more pagan than Christian to me, and is it really the case that there is no mention of evolutionary biology at all?Originally posted by BAAAnyways. Re: Get to know me first!
Friend, Darwinism is taught in schools as if it were scientific fact. Have you seen the amount of buildings with no religious symbols on them whatsoever? That space on the walls of courtrooms and classrooms where the Ten Commandments aren't? All those things are testament to the pernicious influence of atheism in public life, and that is why the Godly Republicans are fighting to eliminate them one step at a time.Originally posted by Born-Again Atheist View PostYou know what really ticks me off in life? Everyone's trying so hard for each religion to be accepted- christianity in particular. But where's the respect for atheism? It sickens me. As long as christians get their own way, they can belittle every other religion of the world. Even christian denominations! heck, why don't people spend more time getting christians to accept Sikhism, Islam, Judaism? How about Atheism?
Do you change your favourite movie every week? Not that it's really relevant, I suppose, I just wondering. And the important syllable in that last sentence is "mock" - Borat was created to mock America, which is almost as vile and unacceptable as mocking Jesus.Anywho, a bit more about me. I really wanna play the skin flute now, thanks for the inspiration there. Just realised I forgot to mention I can also play clarinet (I always forget one! lol). I love anime... Final Fantasy, Naruto, Pokemon, but Studio Ghibli in particular. "Howl's Moving Castle" is my second favourite movie of all time. First being the recent "300"... awesome.
Actually, talking about movies, I bet you all would like Borat the Movie. Although it is only a mockumentory, I bet you'd like the anti-Semitism involved.
You're a bit backwards, aren't you? If humans were the intermediary between God and the Bible, then it was written BY God, THROUGH humans. The only way it could be written THROUGH God, as you suggest, would be if humans came up with it and then dictated it for God to write down.Originally posted by Born-Again Atheist View PostI understand that you believe your bible was written THROUGH god. My only business was putting across that god didn't actually WRITE the bible- as implied.
There you go. We have the right to manifest our religion in public and in practice. If the practice of our religion includes killing witches, then you have no reason to protest, as we are just excercising our UN-protected human right to practice our religion. PRAISE!Here are some Articles from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for you to feast your eyes upon:
Article 18.
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
So your idea of respect is barging into a Church website and telling everyone they're wrong? Here's an idea - why not go to Iran or rural Afghanistan and "respecting" Islam there? As for a tutorial on Religious Tolerance, I believe a mini-version's apparent.
"Religious Tolerance", for individuals, doesn't mean that they have to accept everyone elses views as correct, rather that this is what they believe and should be respected. It's simple.

Why don't you do some writing of your own, Missy? Like write 100 times, "I will not do my 'Kegel' exercises while visiting Landover Baptist Church, which only happens to be God's Favorite Forum!"
Then the PayPal button. Hard. Until you hear the Heavenly Chimes.
