Catholic, I have to disagree with you on one point. Don't love them. They don't deserve it. The Bible teaches us to hate God's enemies:
Psalm 139: 21Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? 22I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
These evil freaks are all going to hell, and if you love them, you'll be there along with them. But since you are a good Catholic, I have hope you'll be up there in heaven with me, watching these people being tortured forever, and laughing at them along with God.
Psalm 2: 4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
Personally, I'm praying God kills these people, and soon. I hope you say a rosary tonight and ask for it too old
Psalm 140:10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
Psalm 58:6-8 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
Psalm 35:6-8 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them. For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
Psalm 55:15 Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
Psalm 69: 22Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. 23Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake. 24Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them. 25Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents. 26For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded. 27Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness. 28Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
Psalm 83: 9Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: 10Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
Psalm 83: 15So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. 16Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. 17Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
Psalm 109: 6Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. 7When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. 8Let his days be few; and let another take his office. 9Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. 10Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. 11Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour. 12Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children. 13Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. 14Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
Symbolic acts of cannibalism to affirm one's faith? Oh sure, who wouldn't be attracted to that? And if the catlicks actually believe that the bread and wine literally become flesh and blood through transmogrification, it's not, in their minds, symbolic anymore. It's been taken to the next and very creepy level. Ew!
So your cooking the spirit of Jesus? Keep it up and YOU will be the one burning and being devoured.
Why is it so difficult for you all to understand that Jesus turned bread into His body and wine into His blood? After all the miracles Jesus performed, why does this one so difficult? You remind me of the jews in the passage of John 6:50-69.
This is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world." The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, "How can this man give us (his) flesh to eat?" Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever." These things he said while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. Then many of his disciples who were listening said, "This saying is hard; who can accept it?" Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this, he said to them, "Does this shock you? What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life."{See note} BUT THERE ARE SOME OF YOU WHO DO NOT BELIEVE." Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him. And he said, "For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father." As a result of this, many (of) his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him. Jesus then said to the Twelve, "Do you also want to leave?" Simon Peter answered him, "Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God."
Note 1: Many protestants have told me before: "If you pay attention to how Jesus speaks in the Bible He speaks in parables and metaphors. If you believe Him to be speaking literally here in John 6 than why not in Luke 13:31-32 when He calls Herod a fox or in John 15:5 when He states "I am the vine and you are the branches?"
And if you pay special attention you may notice that it is referring to assault when the Bible actually refers to eating flesh symbolically.
To speak symbolically of eating flesh and drinking blood back in Jesus' times means to assault. This would make our Lord promise life everlasting to the culprit for slandering and hating Him, which would reduce the whole passage to utter nonsense. Christ would be saying "He that reviles me has eternal life"
Thus, by saying the flesh is of no avail, he urges his disciples to not think carnally or of the flesh. Otherwise this does not make sense, for "it is a hard saying" and difficult to accept. And it caused many of Jesus' followers to turn away from Him, and it still does today. Somehow, protestants just can't muster the same faith that Catholics posses and accept ALL of Christ's teachings.
You see then, that Jesus is not "baked" into bread, He IS the bread. (After we bake it mind you, otherwise He would have turned flour into his flesh)
You do realize, that when the protestants fell away from the Catholic Church (and whatever you might claim here, you DID fall away from the Catholic Church) they only took things away: The Deuterocanon, the Eucharist and the Sacraments, the Priesthood, the Pope, kneeling at Mass, the Mass itself, Purgatory, Mary and the Saints... Over time all of these gradually fell away from protestant religions because suddenly Martin Luther decided it was possible to "change" what you didn't like about religion. So he dropped the books of the Bible he didn't like, later the King James Bible was "authorized" and here you all are.
I know it is a hard verse, but can you honestly look over all this and still deny the Eucharist? Even if you deny the Pope, Mary, the Saints, the Priests, Everything! Can you not believe this?
P.s.,
Child, "cast" into the lake of fire and brimstone. They didn't throw themselves in.
Robert, "Revelation" is a dream. It is apocryphal literature NOT to be taken literally. If Jesus said that He will cast "people He hates" into eternal fire, then I might believe you. Just find me another reference.
But, you do seem to be confused. For I only said that if we go to Hell, it is no one's fault but our own. If we refuse to love God and follow His commandments, we cut ourselves off from that love that is CONSTANTLY available through repentance. Until, that is, the time of judgment.
On the contrary, I do love heretics, even Catholics like you. If I didn't, I wouldn't try to save you from eternal Hellfire, now would I? The Bible makes it clear that loving sinners is not the same as coddling or tolerating them. For example, this is how God commands us to treat the unsaved...
You love me, yet you find me intolerable at the same time? "Sure I love my wife, but she's intolerable." They cannot coexist. This is ridiculous. Surely you know that you achieve more with honey than vinegar?
Say for example you're walking around bringing Jesus and the Word to bunches of people in the middle-east. Then you come across this giant field full of heathens and heretics just blaspheming and shouting and raising hell.
So what do you do? Point and tell them they're going to hell and calling them hypocrites and saying they are "papist dogs", "pagan trolls", "ring-kissing teenagers" and "catylicks"? You show your love by offering them every indecency and disrespect you can muster? Then what? Come back the next day and expect them to listen to you and follow Christ when you, Christ's representative to them, showed them EXACTLY what you thought God's love was? They won't want any of it! They will reject you like a demon! Then they will turn to there brother heathens and FROM THEM they will receive love. And that is where they will stay, because they will not want your “love”.
2nd John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
So the people that reject God do not have Him. Ok....
2nd John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 2nd John 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
I do not welcome the Jehovah Witness that come to my door. I do not house them or bid them "God-Speed". However, I do not react with hate towards them, or they should react to me with hate. And nothing will be accomplished.
By letting them into your home, you support their endeavors to deceive, and thereby partake in their evil deeds. If you bid them “God-speed” (literally, “Good luck”) then you support their endeavors to deceive, and thereby partake in their evil deeds.
In no way does being friends with a “heathen” partake in their evil deeds or support it in any way. Rather, you all have twisted the meaning of this passage to be an excuse for this outlet of hate you call a website!
God is saying don't let these people in your house, don't even wish them Goodbye! Wouldn't you say this is rather rude? On the other hand, can you point to Scripture that says we must be loving and accepting of he unsaved?
Love your neighbor as yourself. Simple. But further:
Romans 8: 35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing can separate us from God's love. Nothing. "For God so loved the WORLD that he gave his only son..." He loved the world. Not just his "favorites" here at landoverbaptist.net It is our choice whether to accept that love or not. For God loves us so much that He will not force His love upon us, He asks only that we love Him in return. How do we do this? We follow his commandments.
Through this, you imply first that God does not love his own creations; that things actually exist that God does not love. If God hated something, why would he not destroy it? Why is it even in existence to begin with?
Secondly, you imply that we must “earn” God’s love. Do you really think that God created us as children, giving us life and free-will, but did not love us at that time? Do you really think that we must “earn” his love by becoming a “true Christian”?
If so, and you believe that God’s love must be earned, do you think that “accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior” to be enough? Is that we get to be “loved” by God?
So let me understand your logic....God loves everyone and sends people to Hell because they reject His love. Now that they are in Hell, does He still love them? If he does, why are they suffering eternal torture and punishment?
I said nothing of hell. For those in hell are cut off from God. Furthermore, God does not “send” people to hell. By sinning we turn our back on God and cut ourselves off from his Love. If we go to hell, we have no one to blame but ourselves. For God’s love is ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE, we must simply accept it through repentance.

Take note here, NO ONE on this website will convert to another religion. EVER. Why? Because we hold hate for one another, there is no love here. It is ineffective to preach to your enemies as they will not listen to you unless you speak in love. And simply saying that you "speak in love" is far different from the act itself. And even if you speak in love to your enemies they will not hear you. You must love them first. Love them as God loved them.

God did love everyone. God loves the mormons, the muslims, the protestants, the true christians here and the Catholics all the same. He died for them all the same. It is not whether he loves them or not that determines their eternal life or eternal damnation, it is whether they accept or reject that love. It is our job to bring that love to our fallen brothers of other faiths. And the means we bring that to them is not knocking on their door and pointing fingers and shouting "heretic!" as the people here would tell you. Rather, we must live an exemplary life as a Catholic, reject no one and reach out in love to all.

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Mary is the CO-REDEMPTRIX! She saved us along with Jesus! Here's one of my favorite prayers:
Most holy Virgin Immaculate, my Mother Mary, to thee who art the Mother of my Lord, the Queen of the universe, the advocate, the hope, the refuge of sinners, I who am the most miserable of all sinners, have recourse this day. I venerate thee, great Queen, and I thank thee for the many graces thou hast bestowed upon me even unto this day; in particular for having delivered me from the hell which I have so often deserved by my sins. I love thee, most dear Lady; and for the love I bear thee, I promise to serve thee willingly for ever and to do what I can to make thee loved by others also. I place in thee all my hopes for salvation; accept me as thy servant and shelter me under thy mantle, thou who art the Mother of mercy. And since thou art so powerful with God, deliver me from all temptations, or at least obtain for me the strength to overcome them until death. From thee I implore a true love for Jesus Christ. Through thee I hope to die a holy death. My dear Mother, by the love thou bearest to Almighty God, I pray thee to assist me always, but most of all at the last moment of my life. Forsake me not then, until thou shalt see me safe in heaven, there to bless thee and sing of thy mercies through all eternity. Such is my hope. Amen. (St. Alphonsus Liguori, The Blessed Virgin Mary, Rockford, Illinois: Tan Books and Publishers, Inc., 1982, p. 4. This book was from his much larger one entitled, The Glories of Mary.)
I wansn't speaking to you. Read the whole thread next time.
You are the one who came here to preach to try to change people. You were neither called nor invited. This isn't a free-love forum, either. You might want to try the hippies for that.
I have done nothing but answer YOUR questions.
No he didn't.
Why? Because you say so? I don't care for you opinions. Scripture only here.
Wrong.
Opinion. Back it up with facts.
Hypocrite. You should be honoring Jesus who died for your sins on the cross. You really are a dense one.
I worship Jesus and honor him. I can honor my mother and father and the same time with no trouble. I can honor and honor Jesus while still honoring Mary, the Saints, and my parents on the side. No problem. Now answer the question: "Why shouldn't I?"

I do truly believe that the bread and wine is the body and blood, but under the form of bread and wine. I apologize that my post was misleading to you.
You need to be sure of what you are saying before you paint a bad picture of us before the heathens here. I will of course forgive you, since you asked so kindly

No Sh1t, Sherlock. We choose to be Baptists for a reason.

Now I ask that SOMEONE here tell me again, after all I've given you (This means read the entire thread) why should I not honor the Virgin Mary?
You should be honoring Jesus who died for your sins on the cross. You really are a dense one.
We are taught to PREACH to them, yes. We are never told to be friends with them or to hold respect for them while they are still wallowing in their sins. Quite the opposite, in fact.
But here I must correct you.
Be not so quick to pass judgement on me. For we became friends through her asking me questions of my faith, and God was largely at the center of our friendship. For she had doubts for her Momon faith.

I'm starting to doubt you are even Catholic! His spirit does not become "bound" to the bread. You are thinking of the blasphemous concept of Consubstantiation taught in certain Protestant church like the heathen Lutherans. No, the True Church™ has always taught clearly that the bread and wine literally and physically transform into the body and blood of Jesus Christ, although appearing to maintain the form of bread and wine. Get your facts straight, heretic.
