Guys, please can someone tell me what criteria was used for my "status" to say unsaved trash? And also, why is your slogan "... unsaved unwelcome"?
I am a Christian and find it offensive to be revered to as unsaved trash...

Try being less self-absorbed and look at other new people around here.
We haven't received any indication that you're NOT unsaved trash yet.

1 Timothy 2:13-15 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

So many trolls try in infect these forums with their hate. It's just a precaution. We all start off as unsaved trash.

Don't worry. I'm sure you'll do just fine.

      You had a question?
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Levi. I'm sure you can understand where I come from as well. Unsaved Trash is not something I like to see connected to my name, as a Christian...

I know, and more importantly God knows my heart, but if it had to come to LBC, I suspect I might be bannished to hell the second I mention I read all the Harry Potter books? Would that statement be correct?

Thanks for the vote of confidence and friendly welcome though...

I was not being self-absorbed - I was merely reaching out to someone from LBC to explain and clear this up for me, which Levi Jones had done (thanks). I have noticed all new comers are refered to as unsaved trash - my question was what you based that on.

While it is true that it is a sin to having read the Harry Potter books...

Leviticus 20:6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

If you repent through Christ and accept Him as your Savior, you will gain Salvation(r) like we True Christians(tm) have done.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

If you had not asked forgiveness for your sins and not stopped reading those types of books, that would be unfortunately true.

                    Re: Unsaved?

Rev. Jim, is it not possible for a story book to be nothing more than story book? I have never had the urge to use what I've read in Harry Potter books as a blue print to witch-craft or anything to that extend... Does the mere fact that I've read them, although I have lived a Christian life, bannish me?

And I can assure you that I have repented my sins from the past and live in God's salvation and forgiveness. I do not consider reading these books part of these sins...

                    Your thoughts on this?

There are too many parallels to satanism in those books. For my Lord's sake, the Potter child has a special mark on his head.

                      Revelation 14:9-11 tells us.
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

I attend a Baptist Church in my local town... Edenvale Baptist Church. My favorite Bible verse is a bit harder to answer straight forward... The best verse is the one you need at the time or for the situation you find yourself (your life in) at the time. For instance, for myself, having been raised as a Christian (my grandfather is a Pastor) and living in God's grace after a short period of so called "back-sliding", I like Eph 1:7 - 7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace

                        How about you Levi?

I see. It says you attend a White Baptist Church in South Africa! You poor people! You can stay with me in the U.S. any time you need to!

Tell us more about your backsliding ways like The Word tells us to in:

                          James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Edit: I love the New Testament more that I actually think about it.

I know about spiritual warfare and the impact certain books, types of music, etc can have on people, and I am not naive in thinking the devil does not use these tools to reach people. I just don't belief that the devil is under every rock and behind every bush (just an expression, he is ofcourse persuing us Christians non-stop). But I do not believe that every single person who has read the books have sinned. Those books have not made me do anything... I live my life by one book alone, and that is the word of our God and Saviour...

I would think you would prefer to get the word about the kaffirs taking over your once Godly land, but okay.

Harry Potter is the embodiment of evil in the True Christian sense. It teaches children that things like witchcraft and disobeying authority are okay.

You live on the dark continent. I imagined you would be the first to be concerned about kaffir witchery.
