  • Introduction from a fellow true Christian

    Hi everyone...

I am new to this forum, and gathered that the polite way to enter is by way of introduction.

I am from the Netherlands, and am a single female. I have been a devout Christian all my life and grow to love God more each day!

I see there is a lot of defensiveness on this forum, I guess it's true that Christians will always be persecuted.

I do have a few questions, if someone can point me into the right direction for these?

    May God bless you all!

Young lady, it still remains to see if you're a True Christian(tm). Your name still says "Unsaved Trash". Now, tell us a bit about yourself. What's your favorite Bible verse? How do you like living in New Sodom (Netherlands)?

Thank you for the kind welcome Miss Angels... I feel right at home already.

I was fortunate in growing up in a Christian home. I have learned from my parents and elders and as an adult today, I am so extremely thankful for the fortunate upbringing I had.

How about you angels? How did you find God?

          Hi Rev.
I know that I am a true Christian, and God knows my heart, but having said that, I have no doubt you will come to see this for yourself soon enough.
My cannot pick one favorite verse, the bible to fast for one person to pick one single verse. But for this purpose I will say Act 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins.

I do NOT like living in this God forsaken country... but have to be here!

            It's a very long story .

I always thought I was a Christian, but that was until I came here.
I did not have a clue really. The wonderful people here have helped me so much. And I have totally changed my ways and my outlook on Sweet Jesus.
I now go to Church properly. And pray all the time. I find my best time to be at one with God, is first thing in the morning.

Sorry dear, I'm always rambling on.

No please, do carry on. I always enjoy hearing people this excited about our God and what He has done for us... Never apologize for carrying on about that!!

And if you wanted to talk about it, you can always talk with me...

I also find that the early morning is the best time. But I have recently started getting up in the mid-night hours as well for prayer time. I know it sounds crazy, but around 3am is the quietest time - good for hearing God's voice!! then sleep again and get up at 5am for more God time...

Do you also fellowship (first hand, not just on this forum) with fellow Christians? I have found this to be vital in today's day and age...!

I'm the same. Between 4 and 6am I pray. Everything is so peaceful at that time. Hence why I am here at very strange times of the day and night.
Yes I do. Where I live, there are so many God mockers, horrible people. But I have found a few very Good True Christians, and they are working with me to put right my terrible sins. I've also recently found a wonderful new Church, it's truely inspiring to see so many people devoted to God. So coming to this wonderful forum has really changed my life, and for the better too.

I have no idea what the time is where you are, or where you're from, for that matter... But yes, I think we both have the right idea in our quiet time with God. Evenings are so hard to be quiet... too much noise and distractions.

Where do you live, if I may ask? I bet I will beat you on horrible places to live... As you can see from Rev. Jim's post, I live in the Netherlands... . I am constantly surrounded by heathens, by I guess we all are, no matter where we find ourselves.

It sounds like this forum has helped you alot. You seem like a genuine Christian. I am happy if that is the case.

I must admit, I have some things on this forum that I do not agree with... But I am here to find fellow Christians to discuss God's grace with, and am sure I will find them.

Unfortunately I live in England. It truely is a Hell hole.
I feel very comfortable talking about my thoughts, and Our Lord, something I could never do before. Sometimes I get quite uppity though, especially with folk who just want to mock God and this forum. Because, I truely believe, I am working and striving hard to become a True Christian, and folk putting us down rattles me somewhat.
I'm sure you will find many people here who will answer your questions, and discuss Godly topics.

It's been so nice having a written conversation with you, and once again WELCOME.

I hope so, dear. But since you come from that wasteland of legalized hashish and socialized medicine, we have to reserve judgement.

Reserve away Brother Cletus. Not everyone in Europe speaks highly of your country either, but I will not pass judgement on you if you don't on me - just yet anyway!!!

I can understand where you come from when you say that. I have seen some controversy on this forum. When you just started coming here, did you also have questions? Or did you agree with everything they say from the start? You seem to have come a long way. How long have you been part of this forum?

Likewise - and thank you once again!!

Hahaha. No We'll have to agree to disagree on England and it's vile heathens.

I have been here not very long really only a few months, but

when I arrived I was full of my own self importance, and didn't agree with anyone. My first few posts show my ignorance really.
You won't agree with everything everyone says, but there are ways of putting things, I'm finally learning now. I mean even my grammar was terrible, so I'm being schooled by some of the elders here. 6 months ago I would have felt totally insulted being told I needed help. But now I feel happy and very settled.
I hope you will feel the same friendliness here .
