  • Hi There! Just Arrived...

I'm a new member here, my user name is justhuman because that's what I am: just human. I don't know anything about evolution or cosmology or tractor repair or taxidermy, I'm generally well-groomed and I do my best to avoid television sit-coms and reality programs.
I make my living as a cook. Not a chef, just a cook. My specialty is Cajun food, since that's pretty much the only kind of food I know how to cook.
Other than that I keep pretty much to myself, although I would like to own a horse someday.
I'm looking forward to making many interesting connections here. Don't worry about me. I'm just human.

Welcome, does your father know that his little girl is using his computer?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I beg your pardon? I'll have you know that I am a fifty-six-year-old heterosexual man. Also, my father has been dead for fifteen years. Also, the computer I'm using was paid for, with cash, by yours truly.

I suggest you learn to prepare American food.

What are your hobbies? What are your beliefs on Evangelism?

Actually it was God Himself who brought me here, and in a most unexpected way. I'd gone to a Labor Day fish-fry and strolled down to a small pond, where I was struck by a falling tree-branch. As I lay stunned on the ground the URL of this site began flashing in my mind, so I wrote it down. This afternoon when I returned home I looked it up and decided to join.
Now, maybe it wasn't God after all, but it sure would be some coincidence that it was this site that the falling tree-branch made come into my mind, wouldn't it?
I don't have a copy of the KJV 1611 Bible. I do have a Gideon's Bible, though. Is that okay?

Go get a KJV1611 Bible, and quick! It's the only Bible that truly translates His word accurately to American.

Well I can make cheeseburgers and tuna casserole and meatloaf and bacon and eggs and grilled steaks and roast beef and macaroni and cheese in the American style by leaving the Cajun seasonings out. And I always cook Thanksgiving Dinner (we go to the Golden Corral for Christmas.)
My hobbies are looking up things about horses on the internet.
I don't really know much about Evangelism. I didn't go to college because I had to start working at the age of sixteen. That's how I learned to cook. I'm a pretty simple man.

Sure, it's okay to have a Gideons Bible. I've used one to get my wood stove started. But thats about all it's good for. You REALLY need a KJV1611 Bible for Scripture.

                  God Bless

Wait! If he has a Gideon's bible, that probably means that he stole it from a hotel.

Tell me sir, where did you get your Bible? And if from a hotel, what were you doing there to begin with, and with whom were you doing it?

Simple men are often the best of friends. Evangelism is spreading His word to the Unsaved, something the Gospel is meant for.

I'm glad you cook American too! Welcome to Jesus' favorite forums.

Welcome to God's favorite forum. I hope you'll read through our Church Doctrines and familiarize yourself with the basics of God's Holy Word.

Your Gideon's "Bible" needs to be taken out and burned. The TRUE Word of God can be had for free if you just visit your local Independant Baptist Church and ask the Pastor for one. Make sure you ask specifically for a KJV1611 Authorized Version Bible.

Also you can read one online at www.biblegateway.com. And for your assisted reading pleasure, Brother V has got a wonderful thread going HERE called "Bible in a Year."
                        Who Will Jesus Damn?

No sir I did not steal it. I can't find it just now because my trailer is rather small and I forgot whare I out my Bible, but when I was staying for one night in a motel in Bolton Florida I found my Bible I have now and IT said right on the first or second page that it was alright to take it with me. I've never stolen anything and that's true.

Thank you Pastor Ezekiel. When I fond my Gideon's Bible I will burn it, I promise, tho it makes me sad because it has been a comfort to me on the lonely mornings.
It's very late now and I have to work tomorow (I'm a cook) so I'll look for it tomorrow before I leave to go to work to cook. I'm the cook at G's Creole House on Route 9 just outside Plain Hat Texas.
But when I get paid I will buy that Bible, the KJV one.

Just go to any Christian book store and ask for a Bible. When they ask what kind, say "The good one." They will know what you mean. Usually it's behind a display case to protect it, or in the back of the store.
