  • Welcome Wagons?

I've been quite curious about this church and what it stands for. And I have to say, I have a lot more respect for your church, than I do Westboro Baptist Church. You guys aren't going around protesting at military personnel's funerals.

Instead, you choose to keep to yourselves. I can respect that. And the fact remains that if certain people don't accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they're going to hell. There's no way around that, no sugar-coating it. While I have compassion and respect for all people, I'm not doing much good if they're not following God.

Anyway, with that intro out of the way, don't flame me. Seriously. I'm not here to flame you or your church, to label you as a hate group, or call Congress to get you and your church shut down. In fact, I am a Bible-believing Christian. If you want religious specifics, feel free to ask.

Hoping to get a warm welcome here.

Hi, Brad. How old are you? What Church do you attend?
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

        Re: Welcome Wagons?

I'm 19. I go to a church called Generations Christian Church, in New Port Richey Florida. It's non-denominational, in case you're wondering.

CenturyMedia is a name I came up with randomly. I read a book recently called Century of Self, a story about 20th Century America. The Media part is because so much of the media nowadays promotes too much tolerance (in that, if we're not tolerant of everyone, we're terrible people and should be ignored.)

Welcome Brad! I have mixed feelings about those Westboro folks. A lot of their points about God and how He feels towards certain individuals seems spot on. On the other hand, they just same much too LIBERAL for my taste.

I'm surprised I didn't get flamed right off the bat, considering everything I've been reading. Maybe it's my impeccable grammar and spelling? Or maybe it's everyone who's actually been flaming. I don't know.

Also, how do forum people here get all those cool awards? That looks very interesting...

That is correct. Spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and paragraph structure are very important to Jesus.

My parents were into that non demon/ pentycoastal thing for a short time. BYOT! Bring your own tambourine to Church, lol. Hellbound lot.

              What's your favorite Bible verse?

                Matthew 28:20.

20"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

                  Very nice!

Does the nondemon church you attend speak in tongues, by chance?

                    Re: Welcome Wagons?

Nope, they sure don't. I never understood speaking in tongues anyway. I doubt it's from the Devil, but it's too weird to be a God thing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I went to a Charismatic church for a few months, and they believed that speaking in tongues was from God. Therefore, it seems much more likely that speaking in tongues is a phenomenon of the Charismatic/Pentecostal church.

Oh, it is of the devil.

                      1 Corinthians 13:8
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Friend, the devil often hides his krishnamatic/ pentycoastal agenda behind the mask of the nondemon church.

What Bible is used in your Church?

                        Re: Welcome Wagons?

I'm not sure. I use the KJV, but when I'm in church I never hear the pastor say "turn to XY passage in your YX Bibles." As far as what he reads out of, it's KJV...it matches up with what mine says.

In my church, I've never heard anyone speaking in tongues, or even mention it. My goal is to love God, serve God and others, and lead them to Christ. Without doing that, my life is pretty much meaningless.

Glad to read that we agree on all that.
