  • Turning over a new leaf for Jesus

Hi! I guess I was just saved recently, and I thank the Lord I was!

I had been raised Catholic, and, up until watching the 700 Club last month, I thought I was going to heaven! HOW WRONG I WAS! I realize now I was just a godless heathen, praying to Mary and the angels and saints. I am so ashamed of myself. I might as well have been worshipping Satan. In a way I was, since I now know the truth: The pope is the Antichrist, and the Roman Catholic Church is a plot by Satan to deceive God's children.

Of course, I have cut off all contact with my pagan family (My parents named me after a saint! It makes me feel so dirty!), and thrown away all my evil Catholic paraphernalia. I smashed my rosary first, just in case, so it can never spread the pope's evil again. I changed my voter registration from Democrat to Republican. Now I have found Landover Baptist Church, and am turning over a new leaf, for Jesus!

The Catholic church is dangerous! Millions of Catholics believe, as I did, that they follow Christ the Lord! THEY DO NOT. My heart aches for all those poor, misguided souls who have been lead astray by Satan's favorite church. We have to tell these people how wrong their religion is! I know real Christians like you have been trying, but it's not working! Satan is crafty, and does not willingly relinquish those souls he is taking to hell. I would start burning Catholic churches, if I wasn't afraid of going to jail. When will the laws of this nation stop punishing those who try to force others onto the path of salvation? It's for their own good!

Praise Jesus that a misguided Catholic soul has found the way to the Truth. Christ told us the only way to Heaven is through Him and that the path is narrow.

So tell us a little bit more about yourself. Are you a man or a woman? What's your favorite Bible verse (in the KJV, of course)?

Re: Turning over a new leaf for Jesus

I am a woman, and my favorite Bible passage (of course the KJV, is there any other true word of God?) is Mark 9:43.
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched.

It was painful to sever ties with my idolatrous family, but I know it had to be done. This verse gives me comfort, that I am doing what the Lord wishes. I pray to God one day my family may be truly saved, as I am. But If they continue to follow the path the are on, they will deserve their fate in the lake of fire.

But I think Mark 9:43 should be taken further, to apply to the United States and the world in general. The heathen nonbelievers should be given a chance to follow the true path of Christ, and if they still refuse to see the light of salvation, they should be destroyed.

They are going to hell anyway. These heathens are corrupting our children's minds with their ungodly video games, TV shows, and pagan propaganda. If they weren't around, maybe our children could grow up in a world where they can say the Lord's Prayer in their public schools, and Bible study will be taught along with math and spelling (none of this "science" crap that contradicts the Word of God). Maybe then evil, hellbound doctors won't slaughter innocent unborn babies, with the sanction of the law, and call it "medicine". Maybe then there won't be the perversion of God's will that is men laying with men and women with women.

I am so glad to have found a forum where I can speak my mind freely, and not be accused of being an "insane, fanatical, bigoted, monomaniacal extremist". We all follow the Word of God here.

Welcome, friend. Have you found a new Independent Baptist Church yet?

What part of Arizona are you in? I used to live in Tucson before I moved to Iowa. I still commute back and forth often as my ministry in Sonora and parts of Baja California Mexico bring me down there often.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Welcome to the forum. Are you married yet? If not, we have a singles forum here where you can meet the True Christian(tm) husband of your dreams, especially if you can cook and keep a tidy house without complaining.

Upon request I will cite scripture for all these facts in God's Holy Word.

✝ This is a Christian community and we worship GOD of the Holy bible, the only Living GOD. We worship Jesus Christ, Son of GOD and Savior. Anything else is absurd. ✝

Oh boy. It takes a whole lot of Saving to clean up that mess.

and, up until watching the 700 Club last month, I thought I was going to heaven! HOW WRONG I WAS! I realize now I was just a godless heathen, praying to Mary and the angels and saints. I am so ashamed of myself.
God bless Pat Robertson and his age defying shake.

The Pope is certainly evil, but the Antichrist? I don't think so. I'm with the late great Jerry Falwall on this one, the Antichrist is a Jew who is living among us.

Of course, I have cut off all contact with my pagan family (My parents named me after a saint! It makes me feel so dirty!), and thrown away all my evil Catholic paraphernalia. We do what we can, sister.

It was painful to sever ties with my idolatrous family, but I know it had to be done.
            Jesus told us:

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:26

While I suppose that doesn't strictly apply to you, since you're not a man, it's still darned good advice.

I'm glad you found us, too. It's time we True Christians(TM) stood up and told the world that we're not going to apologize for following the Word of God.

I am married, with two sons (home-schooled, of course). I try as hard as I can to please my husband, as is my duty. I wouldn't dream of complaining to him about the hard work I do cooking, cleaning, and instructing our children, any more than I would complain to Jesus about the path to heaven being too difficult!!

I live in the Godless cesspool that is Tempe, Arizona. I have tried Tri-City Baptist Church, and I am impressed with one of the pastors so far. Here are links to some of his writings:

What do you think, maybe he doesn't go far enough? Although I appreciated how he pointed out that children who whine to their parents will grow up to be terrorists. I instruct my children to thank the Lord when my husband beats them, because it is the only way to keep them from growing up into terrorists, or worse, liberal Democrats.

I have also recently subscribed to the online version of Sword of the Lord newspaper, opinions on that? I am starved for resources on how to live according to God's will. I refuse to be lead astray by Satan again!

I'll keep that in mind, Vavoline. I have nothing against Negroes, even though rock n' roll music originated from demon worship in deepest, darkest Africa. Any colored who is straight, Baptist, and Republican is okay with me. Don't let anyone accuse me of not being open-minded!
