Hello Landover Baptist members. My name is Nikolas, I am a single Christian man who has been seeking a 'true' church for a while now.
My 'new' walk began about ten years ago when, as a young man involved in my local church (non-denominational), I began noticing how superficial and 'empty' the message and the Spirit felt in this church.
I was led by the spirit to the King James Bible by a few verses that struck me. As I asked God to guide me into HIS truth, whatever that may be, He responded first by showing me his 'firstfruits' were always blessed and more holy. Therefore, King James was the only translation to trust.
Then I read it cover to cover. Then I did it again. What I found made me angry. These wishy-washy 'modernists' had been feeding me lies and half-truths about God's Holy Word.
There are so many lies being taught as God's truth these days I do not even know where to begin. Female pastors is one of the big ones.
I have been reading all kinds of things on this site for several hours now and I am intrigued by the appearance of Godliness in your teachings. Forgive the necessity of being hesitant, but evil is often hiding in places that appear Godly. As in all things, I trust the Spirit of the Lord to guide me in this.
I am a white guy and as such I am wondering about your teaching on negros. As I read the Bible and saw God teaching about not 'blending with other peoples', I took away from that not a race warning but a religous warning. That marrying and socializing with those who do not believe in God is a danger to your eternal soul.
Is there something I missed or interpreted incorrectly? Are white people the only chosen race of God? Does that include ALL white races? Are blacks, asians, mexicans and what-not able to get into heaven and if so what place do they have in the eternal Kingdom?
Another question, although I already knew that women were not to be leaders or bread-winners, I did not think they were less valuable in the eyes of God. Is that what you are saying? Do women go to heaven? I know the ancient church once debated if women even had a soul. What do you guys think?
If all this is true, no wonder we have all the problems we do in our country. People should have to pass an IQ test before they can vote and these other races all seem to be simple-minded liberal-lovers. Unless you say something about gay marriage...at least the negro's hate that too!
Anyway, thank you in advance for your answers to my questions. If nothing else, the reading I have done on your boards these last couple of hours was intriguing and has given me quite a bit to think, pray and study His Word about.
Thank you,
Nikolas
