Think of it this way, science is showing how the world works, how the universe works, how everything is run. but who created it? The god and goddess. at least in my belief =]
And just why then do you find OUR beliefs improbable?
Let me ask you: This 'god and goddess', do they love everyone?

Sounds like a theory, to me.

How do you prove this notion of yours? Were you around 7 billion years ago? And what has some silly Wicker "goddess" and cavorting with goats in Summerland to do with all this scienticious chatter of yours?

If you're wrong, which you are, then according to Jesus you are damned to eternal Hellfire. Glory!
The sun was created about 7 billion years ago (i believe) from the gas cloud left behind from a previous star blowing up. The hydrogen atoms (make up about 90% of the universe) that exist in a form of one neutron, one proton, one electron. Gathered in the middle, this formed a gravitational field around it dragging in the other hydrogen (and other lighter atoms) into the center, the friction heated up this mixture to the point of about 2 million degrees K. This started the hydrogen nuclear reaction forming the sun. The left over heavier elements (such as iron, gold, and others) were also brought together in clumps (also the gas planets are made up from the lighter atoms that never got to the sun) and the heavier elements formed solid planets (mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars). And there you go, the complete creation of the solar system, in a nutshell.
And about the whole hydrogen reaction thing not being true, we can make it ourselves, the H-bomb is the exact same thing as the sun, but the gravity keeps it from just exploding out)

no, i came here because i was pissed off at the stuff you people put out. But i realized that you truly believed in this, so i wanted an intelligent conversation.
You couldn't believe it because you didn't have "facts". Well, let me tell you, when you have Jesus, you don't need none of those so-called "facts"! Get saved and start tithing! Glory!

If you're not going to worry about "them", do you plan to converse "intelligently" with Bozo there? All he can do is come into a Baptist Church forum and fling insults in every thread.

I doubt you'll find much intelligent conversation there!

Not that I believe any of this rubbish, you understand, but that is more like what the bible really says.
HH, while your rejection of Jesus saddens me to no end , it's good to see you at least have bothered to read the Bible and know what Jesus was talking about before deciding you'd prefer Hellfire!

Brooke, perhaps you'd do well to understand the Bible before making choices about your religion.

But in no way do i wish to say that Jesus was bad, i think that he was a wonderful man that brought a lot of good upon this world. Also inadvertently his religion killed millions of innocent people. But I respect him greatly.
Because he preached a lot of what my religion dose. LOVE. what did jesus want with this world? Love, he wanted people to not fight, to be friends.
He also hung out with the people who people said were going to hell to prove that no matter who you are, what you believe in, your still a person, and if there is a god, he (or she) will forgive you for what you have done.
    That was jesus.

Much better, thank you. Now all you have to do is repent of your depravity and accept Christ, and we'll get along just fine.
